Description

This Dana 44 Rear Axle Shaft Bearing Kit is one of those unglamorous but essential parts that has been providing to Jeep owners since 1963. As solid as your Jeep is, parts wear out and replacing them before they completely fail not only ensures a safe drive for you and your passengers, but it keeps the love affair going with your Jeep that you have had since the first time you got behind the wheel.
OEM Replacement. This Dana 44 Rear Axle Shaft Bearing Kit is a direct replacement for the factory fitted part. The kit includes the bearing ring, oil seal, ring and retainer. Everything you need to get the job done. The bearings are made of hardened steel for long life and durability, and fit your Jeep TJ with the Dana rear end.
Installation Notes. This is an involved replacement/repair that requires a complete set of tools and the ability to get your Jeep off its wheels in order to access the rear axle, disassemble it and replace the worn parts and then reassemble. You must be comfortable with conducting larger repairs on vehicles and have the time and space to do a multi-hour repair. If you do not, take this kit to a competent mechanic and have them conduct the repairs for you.
