Great product, but
The product itself is fantastic, but the application is not so easy on a 2005 Wrangler. The concave of the body bolts don’t allow for instructed placement. The areas around the body bolts have to be removed and “2” rows(1 row of screws in the designated area and 1 along the lower door area) will be required for securing and strength of hold for the 2005. So you now have 2 rows of bolts on the metal doors. You must make sure that when you drill for ALL bolt placement that you spray rust inhibitor in the hole area before placing rocker panels, because they are there to stay. But does look greatHelpful (0)

Barricade Rocker Guards w/ Steps (97-06
Well made product. No instructions. Instructions on there products page are incorrect. I was able to find some with a google search. You must remove all five body mounts per side to install these I didn’t mess with the front. First one was a real b***h . Once I found some good instructions, Second one was a piece of cake.Helpful (3)

Great Product. Poor customer services
I ordered the open box item and didn't realize the hardware was not included. The website lists the hardware required but does not give a specific length for the screws. I called to ask if the hardware can be provided. My request was denied. So I asked for the length of the screw. I was told that someone would send me an email in 10 minutes. I didn't get an email and had to call a 2nd time. When I finally received an email, it listed the same hardware as listed on the website without the length of the screw. Don't waste your time buying the open box or calling customer service. Installation shouldn't take long but we don't have the hardware. Trying to figure out the hardware was the hardest part. Judging by the reviews, other people had similar issues with the length of the screws.Helpful (4)

Just all round very nice!
Job #1 was to do a proper job of covering some rust, but meantime I have gotten so accustomed to the aesthetics that Wranglers without look to me to be missing something. These things are very heavy duty. Installation was not 100 smooth, but well within reason. I read the reviews and was aware that these do not function effectively as a Step, and they don't. No surprise there. Finish seems good, to new to judge if they will begin to rust - but as heavy as they are it will be 200 years before they rust through!Helpful (3)

Are these strong enough to use as jack points for recovery, etc.?
The Barricade Rocker Guards is not strong enough to be used as a jack point recovery and should never be used as so.
On the mini flares when I took them off there is still the anchors the screws screwed into. They are not flush with the body. Do I need to take them off as well and if I do take them off how do I do it?
Any left over anchors or screws from the mini flares would need to be removed to make it a smooth mounting surface.
Will this fit with a body lift ?
Since these mount on to the body above the frame itself, the Barricade Rocker Guard With Step will work just fine on a Jeep with a body lift.
Does the powder coat finish on the barricade rocker guards and corners guards match the finish on the metal cloak fenders?
Both the Barricade and Metal Cloaks fenders are matte, but the Barricade rocker guards would have more of a textured looked compared to the Metal Cloak fenders.
Are these strong enough to stand on while getting in the Jeep
Absolutely, built very heavy and bolts up to two body mounts plus 5 side rocker screws.
The Barricade Rocker Guards w/ Steps will bolt to your frame mounts and directly to the body. There is no rubber pad that is installed between this and the body of the Jeep.
We do not have the exact length of this item. If you look at the customer photos there are pictures with people using these with flat fenders.
If any of the holes are located under the bottom of the door, then yes they will be covered as these Barricade Rocker Guards w/ Steps will reach up to the door, as depicted on the product picture.
The Barricade Rocker Guards will weigh approximately 58 lbs together.
We ask that you call directly into our Contact Center in regards to purchasing hardware for this item.
If your '06 TJ has body armor along the rocker panel, it will need to be removed for proper installation of the Barricade Rocker Guards.
These are not the same product as offered by that manufacturer.
We recommend using trim removal toosl to remove the anchors from the vehicle.
Unfortunately, we have had some rust problems with these bumpers, it is generally when the bumpers become scratched or scraped and the powder coating comes off in spots, that is where the rust will form. We suggest using a 3m textured black paint to cover those points, should this happen. That will prevent rust from building up, and will match the coating!
