    Review & Install Video

I'm Ryan from ExtremeTerrain.com, and this is my review of the Synergy High Steer Drag Link, fitting all 2007 to 2016 JKs. This drag link is for any of you who are running larger tires and want to make sure that your drag link isn't going to flex under that additional stress or those of you who have damaged or bent your drag link off-road. This is going to be a really well-priced and high-strength replacement that can be run in the factory drag link configuration or as a flip drag link with some additional components. The benefit to running a flip drag link configuration is that you have flatter steering component angles which can lead to better handling on the road, especially when you have high lift. Unfortunately, you do have to run some additional bump stop, and the additional components can add some cost. This drag link is built from 1 3/8 1/4" wall thickness DOM tubing, which again, means it's going to be really strong and not flex, no matter what size wheel and tire combination you're running. It comes with two tie rod ends that are both greaseable, and all the hardware that you need to get this installed in the Jeep. One of my favorite parts about this setup is that it's double adjustable, which means that you can install it in the Jeep and re-center your steering wheel without the need to remove one of the tie rod ends. Getting this installed on your Jeep is really easy, especially if you're running it in the factory drag link configuration. The first step is to remove the factory drag link by first removing the cotter pins, then the castle nuts, and then removing the tie rod ends from both the Pitman arm and the steering knuckle. Now, the tie rod ends are a press fit, so they can be a little bit stubborn, and the best way to remove them is to get a big, heavy hammer and to hit either the Pitman arm or the steering knuckle, not the tie rod that you're trying to remove. You want to hit the Pitman arm or the steering knuckle on the side perpendicular to the tie rod end. That should pop them right out. If you're still having some trouble, you can use a puller if you have one available. Once you have the factory drag link removed, you can install the new one with all the included hardware. Once you make the adjustments, which again is really easy because this is double adjustable, you'll use the hardware to clamp everything down, and you're done. The whole process should take about two hours, and you won't need any specialty tools, just some traditional hand tools, and a hammer. I think you get a lot of value for what you pay for this drag link. It's a really high-quality piece. It's really complete, and honestly, there isn't anything I would change, especially for the price tag. So if you're running big tires and you want to eliminate any weak points in your steering, or you've already bent or damaged your factory drag link, this is a really high-quality and well-priced replacement, especially if you're considering running a flip drag link down the line. So that's my review of the Synergy High Steer Drag Link, fitting all 2007 to 2016 JKs, that you can find right here at ExtremeTerrain.com.

Heavy Duty. The components in Synergy's High Steer Drag Link kit are durable and feature a 1-1/2 inch 1018 solid bar for minimum flex and superb durability. It's coated with an abrasive-resistant finish that offers maximum durability for both on and off road integrity. This kit offers a hefty alternative to stock and can be used at the factory position or utilized in a flip to mount at the top of the knuckle on your 2007-2018 Jeep Wrangler JK.

Adjustable. The Synergy suspension double adjuster sleeve allows you to easily adjust the tie rod length without removing it from the vehicle, letting you tune in to any lift or extra modifications before and after you've installed this system.

Installation. Fully bolt on, this kit offers a quick and easy installation for applications in the factory position without use of your old worn out factory tie rod ends so you won't have to compromise. If you're looking for a top knuckle relocation, extra modification may be required.

Includes. The Synergy High Steer Drag Link system includes a drag link, flip adapter, a rod end double adjuster sleeve, pinch bolt hardware and two tie rod ends. Does not include brackets required for top knuckle installations.

Application. The Synergy High Steer Drag Link system is designed for 2007-2018 Jeep Wrangler JK models.

      Solid product

Nice solid bar. My old Moog lasted 6 months after I went to 35s - this one will take the stress much better. Easy to adjust - measured old to get close, then 2 trips around the block and the steering wheel was perfect. No trail experience yet but I'm sure I won't have any issues at all.

      JK Wobble..

I developed the death wobble in my JK. The stock bar was a little loose but didn't appear bad. I installed this bar and it was like night and day. My entire steering came to life.

      Better design than OEM

Quality product, fuzzy directions. Better design than original drag link. Really tightened up steering feel. Your pitman arm ball joint removal will be probably be difficult. A little heat from a MAPP or oxy-acetylene torch and it comes right out.

      perfect

I have a jk with 6" of lift. A local offroad shop suggested using a high steer kit with a factory pitman arm to tighten up my steering instead of the aftermarket drop pitman arm I had. hardest part of the install was removing old parts. Very solid and high quality product!

      excellent product

installation was a little difficult but it wasn't because of the product. trying to line up my steering is what took so long. but the installation of the drag link was easy and quick. I quickly noticed the steering wasn't so flighty and it responded nicely to freeway conditions, I felt more confident switching lanes. if you have a 3 lift this is the way to go.

      Could be better

Stronger looking than stock link. Lots of flop in the ends though. Grease boots will not stay in place. Needs a better system than the coil springs to hold the boots in place.

Very nice upgrade for Jeeps with a intermediate height lift. Replaced my stock part after 100k and plenty of it off-road. Works well, good investment for the price.

      This product shows off strength

Upon receiving it I could tell it was stronger and had more resilient. I took it to a shop since it was going to need an alignment after everything was in place. Always have an alignment done after replacing your drag link. Synergy has great durability as well. They weigh more so you know it won't bend under pressure. Very happy with this product! This is not the only part I've gotten from Synergy, I've also replaced the tie rod and the track bar as well! All look great and feel great!
