      Description

Highest Level of Off-Road Performance. Enhance the off-road performance of your Wrangler JK's steering when you're tackling harsh environments by installing a Steer Smart YETI XD "No Drill" Top Mount Draglink w/Griffin XD Attenuator- Black Bellow. The Griffin XD Attenuator eliminates most of the negative feedback from your steering wheel when you're driving across tough terrain. The draglink ends are built to give your Wrangler greater fatigue and buckling strength under extreme conditions. The cold-headed steel ball studs provide superior off-road stability and impact toughness.

Durable Heat-Treated Construction. Steer Smart's YETI XD Top Mount Draglinks include induction heat-treated ball joints and steel bearings, which improve wear resistance and fatigue strength. The YETI XD series of draglinks provides high-quality seals that have been meticulously tested to ensure minimal grease leakage between service intervals. All of Steer Smart's draglink rod ends are built from medium carbon high-hardenability steel for better buckling impact.

Installation. This Steer Smart YETI XD Top Mount Draglink w/Griffin Attenuator offers a direct bolt-on patent pending "No Drill" reverse taper mount design for easier installation. The pre-assembled draglink takes approximately an hour to install without any cutting or drilling. The Griffin Attenuator provides you with slotted clamps on each end for proper clamp force during installation.

Application. Steer Smart's YETI XD Top Mount Draglink w/Griffin Attenuator – Black Bellow fits all left-hand driver 2007-2018 Wrangler JKs including Unlimited and Rubicon. Steer Smart recommends a minimum 17" wheel.

        5 2017 Wrangler - JamesB

        Worth it

Wanted to get rid of the drop Pitman arm and after doing some research decided on this fella. Pretty straightforward and easy installation. Took it for a drive and boy oh boy is it nice. No more play in the steering wheel and the jeep just feels firmer and more glued to the road. I’ve got a 3 1/2 inch lift and 37X 13.50 Toyo MTs

        Steer smarts top mount DL

At almost double the price point of other drag links this product is a bit pricey but worth every cent and you’ll get your money’s worth from this investment. It came packaged extremely well, and the quality on this DL is outstanding, the yeti attenuator is some what of a luxury however it does an amazing job of reducing steering vibrations. well done Steer smarts

      4 Top Rated Questions

I own a 2014 Rubicon 2-Door with a JKS 2.5" lift, I know it is recommended that the top mount be used with lifts over 3", but considering I will most likely lift it higher down the road, and the fact my Jeep seems to sit a little higher than most 2.5" lifts, would the top mount draglink fit without interference?

      • We would not suggest a top mount, with only a 2.5" lift. We would suggest waiting until you upgrade to a higher lift to install the Steer Smarts YETI XD No Drill Top Mount Draglink w/ Griffin XD Attenuator - Black Bellow. We cannot confirm for sure you would or would not have fitment issues or interference with 2.5" lift.

I own a 2017 RUBICON RECON UNLIMITED and would like to know, 2 things 1) what is the difference between the top mount and bottom mount YETI XD Draglink and 2) will it work with my rockrawler 3.5 in. stage 2 x factor lift ? THANK YOU MIKE

      • With the Steer Smarts YETI XD Drag link, each version of mounting is based on your steering application. The button mount would be ideal for those under 3" of lift or those without a high steer set- up. If you are running over a 3" lift with a high steer set up, you'd want the top mount option. At 3.5" with your Rock Krawler lift, I'd suggest setting up for a high steer set up and the top mount drag link.

Hello I have a 2015 JKU with a 6 in lift and 36 in tires. With the exception of the Pitman arm and steering stabilizer, the rest of the steering components are factory. With my current set up, my Jeep tends to walk all over the road at highway speeds. Would I see a dramatic improvement in my handling on the highway with this product? What other products would you suggest?

      • This can help with steering wander, but we would recommend first checking to ensure that the alignment is correct and no steering or suspension components are worn with excessive play.

I have a 3" lift with 37" tires which puts me right in the middle of deciding whether or not to choose a top or bottom mount. Advice?

      • With a 3" and 37's we would recommend a bottom mount with steel bumpers, and a top mount with stock or aluminum bumpers, as the heavier steel bumpers will cause a bit of sag, making the suspension sit lower whereas aluminum and stock bumpers are lighter, making the suspension sit a bit higher.
