How to Install RUGGED RIDGE POCKET SUMMER BRIEF TOP on a 10-17 Wrangler

Installation Instructions: 1. Open the top on a flat clean area and position the windshield header purchased separately (part # J14690). Once inserted into the pocket sleeve, attach the fabric top to the metal header by using the snap buttons highlighted.  

2. Position the threaded hardware, starting with a plastic washer, metal spacer, metal bracket and plastic washer. Everything is held into position with the threaded knob. 

3. Place the header and top over the windshield insulation rubber. Adjust the positioning so the header is situated in the center of the windshield and on the rubber weather stripping along the top of the windshield. Lightly secure into position by having the metal bracket over the mounting loop on the windshield as shown in the photo below. Do not fully tighten.  

4. Loop large Velcro straps over the roll bar and loosely secure into position. 

5. Attach rear strap clip into the hole on the factory sound bar used to thread the attachment knob for the hard top. Again, loosely adjust into position. 

6. Continue to loop the straps along the roll bar and over the door surrounds if your Jeep is equipped with a soft top. 

7. Once all straps have been loosely attached, proceed to tighten everything. Working around the top at different locations in order to ensure an evenly distribution. 

8. Working during warm sunny weather will help the fabric stretch in position for a nice taught finished look.
