What is the difference between series I and series II. This kit is the series II.

        • The series ll would include brake line brackets, track bar bracket, and rear sway bar links, the series l only includes coil spring spacers and shock relocation brackets.

since I have a 2.5 suspension lift on my 2007 4 door jk would I need a steering stabilizer also if I was going to but the coil spacers on?

        • If you currently have a 2.5 inch lift and add the Rough Country 2.5 in. Series II Lift Kit w/o Shocks (07-17 Wrangler JK) on top of your existing lift, you will have roughly 5 inches of lift. You would need to add new control arms, a new longer drive shaft and a stabilizer can be replaced if the current one is worn out, if not you can continue to use your existing steering stabilizer.

Would this kit also level the Jeep, eliminating the front rake?

        • Thank you for your question! This system was developed to provide a level stance to the Jeep after it is lifted. You will note that the front lift is 2.5” and the rear lift is 2”.

Do the 35's still fit with no rubbing with stock 17" wheels?

        • 35" tires will not fit with this kit without the use of wheel spacers on your stock wheels.

            Incomplete Lift Kit :(

It was a rough morning. I was about 2 hrs into installing this kit when I realized that the rear shock extenders were missing. I called customer service and one rep told me that they were not necessary, but it was obvious that they are needed because the shock can not reach the stock mount after installing the spacer. Her solution was to send the missing parts or do a return. So I had to completely undo the install and put my jeep back together. Four hours of work for nothing. INVENTORY ALL PARTS BEFORE YOU START. Also, the instructions say to do the front first, but the video mentions that you move the factory sway bar links to the front from the rear. It is a good thing I did the rear first because I would have had to disassemble the front too. They are sending a new kit hopefully with all parts included

            Spacer lift

This is a straight forward kit, that does as it says, the front brake lines were the only problem I ran into with the kit, you have to do a lot of bending on the front metal brake lines, in order to use the extension brackets, at least on a 2015 rubicon. The passenger front didn't have enough extra to bend, so I had to drill another hole in the extension bracket higher up to make it work. Everything else worked fine. The jeep drives like factory, and I don't know how, but my wife and I think it rides better, can't explain that one to you though, as we didn't change shocks, or springs.

2.5 RC spacer lift w.o shocks

Install went well , no difference in ride quality. This is the kit if you plan on running bigger tires and are not into hard core off-roading.

            Good for the money

I got this so I didn’t throw away good shocks so I could get bigger tires and it’s very good for the price it does take awhile to install so I would definitely consider having it put on in a shop if you don’t have the experience

            Excellent

Absolutely awesome for the money. Rides the same as stock with no wobble at all. I added a dual stabilizer about a week after and the two combined to get a good 2.5” lift and a better than stock ride quality.

            219 JKU 2.5” lift.

Good budget lift. Instructions could be better. Hardware not well marked and sorted. Annoying that Jeep is metric and lift is standard. Should come with exhaust spacers since they are required. This is my fourth lift. If you are a novice, be sure to watch some install videos.

            2.5” lift kit rough country

This kit is very complete and does the job but the instructions are a little vague but still gets the point across. It makes the Jeep look more like a Jeep should. I did it in my garage by myself, it isn’t a bad install at all. I also added the rough country 1.5” wheel spacers also with the factory tires and will add at least 285/70 r17 tires and may go 285/75r17. It rides and handles just like factory no vibrations or shimmying, just be sure to get it aligned after install.

            Awesome bang for the buck!!!

Product arrived quickly and the packaging was above and beyond what I was expecting. The instructions were good and the install went without a hitch. I will admit I used a spring compressor for the right front spring install. I used hand tools and floor jacks and it took just a smidge over 1.5 hours. Everything went on easy and seems to be working well together. For what I will be doing (daily driver with some basic off-roading) this kit saved me a bunch of money, retained my stock driving quality, got me exactly the lift I needed for bigger tires and leveled out my Jeep. I would highly recommend this kit.

            Outstanding kit!

Disclaimers: I used a lift. I am a mechanic by trade. My total install time with was under three hours. I inventoried the Kit before installing, noted that it came complete with a few extra nuts bolts or washers. The instructions were easy enough to follow. Note that the relocation of the right front brake line caused it to sit against the frame and I had to make a slight bend and install a piece of rubber hose/tube to protect the line. Rides like stock, Looks great and can't wait to "need " new(bigger) tires...

A great lift for a decent budget!

I purchased this lift for my Father’s Jeep for Christmas. We finally got around to installing this since the weather got nice and it was getting close to Summer. Let me first start off and say, the directions could use some updating. I had done research on this lift and knew this ahead of time but, ie: (wanting you to start the front first then the rear, when you need to put the stock rear sway bar links onto the front), other than that, they were pretty straight forward. We paired this with new Rough Country shocks for the front and rear, and it rides like a dream. And for the price you can’t beat the outcome. If you don’t plan on doing crazy extreme off roading, but want some clearance and a good look, this is the lift for you. We also installed 35” tires and new wheels as well.

Poor instructions, spend the money on a good lift

I installed the lift kit on a driveway with standard hand tools, impact wrench and jacks...with 3 people the lift took 7 hours to install. The instructions could use a whole lot of work, and the hardware isn’t even labeled but isn’t overly difficult to figure out. Spend the money on a teraflex lift or rubicon express. The hardest part was the rear coils removing and putting back in, front end went more smooth, but we had to go get some parts and hardware since some bolts were not fitting properly and we needed coil compressors.

            Great starting Kit

This is a great starting kit for Daily drivers. You pretty much keeping everything stock and so is the drive. the car looks much beefier and nice with the kit and 35's. I would recommend getting the exhaust spacers if you want to keep your drive shaft in a good shape. No rubbing with 35's.

            Good for the price

Every one has bad things to say about Rough COuntry but so far I have liked this lift kit. It was a hassle to put on, but worth doing it yourself if you don't want to spend $400 on labor for a kit that was only $200. As for the ride, I can feel the lift and the car drives the same for the most part. It is a bit rougher but it's not like I'm jumping out of my seat everytime I hit a bump. I would recommend this to anyone who is just going for the look and won't actually be taking their cars off roading (mountains, hills, etc.) I will say though that the instructions for installation SUCK!!! And they send you so many screws and bolts and nuts and don't even label which bag goes to which part of the installation.

Missing a few parts, mainly sleeves but made it work. Looks nice but an upgrade is in the works. Great lift for a tight budget. Install wasnt bad, the included directions are not that good but you tube has videos. Took me and a buddy about four hours with a hoist. Exhaust extensions were a pain.
