Extreme Duty Steering. The Steer Smarts YETI XD Tie Rod Assembly is engineered to provide the strongest and most durable steering linkage for the Jeep JL Wrangler. It directly replaces the factory tie rod to improve steering reliability, especially under harsh off-road conditions.

Construction and Appearance. Manufactured in the USA, it features cold-headed medium carbon alloy steel ball studs with induction heat treatment for superior fatigue strength. The rod ends are forged, powder coated over e-coat, and have large rolled threads for strength and durability. The assembly includes fully greaseable metal-on-metal ball joints with high-quality seals to ensure longevity and robustness.

Installation. The assembly is a simple bolt-on upgrade requiring moderate mechanical skill. Installation typically takes about one hour. Note that a 1 5/8" damper bracket and stabilizer relocation bracket are required for proper installation but are not included.
