            Good product

Decided to get this after a tree limb kicked up and ripped off my tranny line on the trail. I was shocked how easley it happened and suprised jeep didn't have one on there from the factory on my model. Install took about an hour with the front end on ramps. Really simple, haven't had an issue with getting hung up on anything. It's a little heavy but not enough to notice. I recommend it to anyone looking for an inexpensive solution.

            protection at a fair price

I was looking foe a skid plate for my oil pan and was not going to pay what most cost, way too much so I found this online a thought why not it is very heavy duty and the fitment is very goo not a big deal to install and it has already taken a beating and i am impressed!!

            Not too shabby

For the price, it’s not bad. The holes in it may be good for releasing water and dirt and they may act as something more to catch on a rock. Install was easy. Covers what I want, just need to hit a rock and see if it does what it’s supposed to.

Easy install but after use wore into my oil pan.

I bought and installed this before a Rubicon trip. It performed as expected up until the last day. After two days of taking abuse, this skid plate was forced into contact with the oil pan and ultimately the welded-on nuts on the back side of the skid (for the access panel) wore into my oil pan and I started leaking oil. Luckily we were able to weld the pan and finish the trip. This one is fine for easy to medium difficulty off-road but not the Rubicon.

            Skid plate

Bought this skid plate because of light weight also the holes will allow water and mud to drain through rather than holding in the skid plate or against the bottom of the oil pan. The holes also allow for cooling rather than holding the heat in. This was easy to install and seems to be very good quality with nice coating. I did use my own stainless hardware. All in all I would recommend this.

            Great skid plate easy install

I bought another brand skid plate but it bolted to the engine not the frame or x members. So if you took a good hit the engine would take the blow. Not on my jeep, I bought this skidplate and I had it installed in less than an hour. Simple easy and bolts to crossmember and engine mount. Great skid plate!

            Sturdy

So these thing is sturdy. The instructions were not very helpful at all. The skid plate adds strength to the Jeep structure and ends up causing more vibration throughout the entire frame. Going wheeling soon So if there’s any strength issues I’ll bring it up for sure

            Installation directions not so good

DIY install was challenging due to the written directions not being clear and not enough pictures to show the order and where all the pieces went. Overall the fit was tight and looks good. There were not any YouTube videos that gave enough information either.

            Effective without excessive weight.

Most of my off roading is in muddy conditions but rock and branches are always a concern. The skid plate offers protection while the holes allow hosing out mud better than some full coverage designs and also reduces the overall weight. The trade off is this plate may not slide over rock as well as some units. It installed without any problems. Just install the bolts loosely while aligning everything before final tightening.

            Great skid plate!!!

Was looking at several options that were solid sheets of steel but those are not always great because you end up not being able to remove all debris and over time would cause more corrosion unseen. Found this option and after helping others with their skids I can say this is a much better fit. Great product

            Some issues

Not a bad product but would go with something else if I had another choice. Fitment of the arms Makes it difficult to install. The way the arms sit one good hit to the skid plate could cause major issues to items under the jeep.

            Love it

Had to replace my existing skids and learned from the past. My old skids were solid. If you Offroad and deal with mud and rocks... solid is not the way to go. Even using a pressure washer numerous times after wheeling did not release all that was there. With these skids, that is not an issue. Held up on hard blues with just some scrapes.

            Easy to install and sturdy

The engine skid is affordable and is pretty strong. The holes in the skid help it to drain easily. It is a pretty easy install and makes me feel much safer on the trail. I would recommend this to a friend.

            Garbage

There is a reason this is so cheap compared to the others, the mounting tabs a flimsy, the attaching hardware is weak, the arms to install from the motor mount bracket hit the transmission lines and push them into the side of the engine. The instructions show it being mounted on an automatic Jeep, but the arms don't fit without contacting vital parts. This thing would fold as soon as it contacted a rock. Very unfortunate purchase.
