            This thing is hot, literally!

This is a great compressor because it gets the job of airing up my 35” tires quick. The reason it’s 3 stars is because the hose and the compressor handle get really hot, even after letting it cool a few minutes per tire. It’s also only 3 stars because the battery clips could be a little bit larger as it struggles to connect to mine. All and all it’s a good compressor for the money and Im going to continue to use it!

            Powerful Compressor

This thing gets the job done! Each tire (33x12.5) in under a minute. The hose does get hot so beware of that before you go to pack it up. One thing I'm not happy about is the in line gauge. It's not even close to accurate. Going to try to replace as it takes extra time to check pressure with another gauge. Not sure why quality was overlooked for this part, big miss.

This is a heavy duty item that is built to last. Easy to hook up and get those tires aired up fast. Came with a nice bag, hoses and all the required accessories. Definitely a recommended purchase.

            High volume air compressor

I’ve used this compressor a couple times after wheeling to fill my 35” tires. It is fast and easy to set up. I would recommend this over a air tank compressor because the high volume of air it puts out filling my tires quickly. Comes with a great bag, airline and pressure gauge..

            Awesome

Pumped up some 33's from 5lb to 35lb in about a 30 seconds a pop. The hose is plenty long enough to circle your jeep without any need to move the pump. Perfect for what I needed

            Works well

It works well and airs up tires as it should, wish it came with something j actually air up the tires, you will still need a gauge and an adapter to make it work with the hose it comes with

            Smithbilt compressor 5.65 cfm

Used it for the very first time today. Air up all four 33’s in a short time. Didn’t time it, I would say less than 20min. Very well pleased with the product and would definitely recommend if you don’t have on board air.

Great compressor with some small flaws

Just bought this for my new 38x13.50R17 pats and it has performed great. It fills them from 15 psi to 29psi in about 40 seconds per tire. I also was able to use it on the trail to reset a bead, we did use a ratchet strap push out on the bead, but we had a successful recovery. It is a very big compressor, about 50 larger than any other one I have seen. The connectors on the fill hose are really well thought out, allowing you unscrew from the valve stem without loosing air. The gauge on the hose is pretty accurate when the compressor is off, but it has 4 tickmarks/25 psi, which does not make sense. The hoses also get way hotter than I would expect, and I will probably replace them in the near future.

            It Works

I bought this instead of an ARB or more expensive compressor and am mostly satisfied. The inline pressure gauge is not very accurate. Annoying but not a showstopper... I'd say it's about 5-7psi high in my case which i can compensate for. I also use another more accurate gauge to confirm. It does get hot but I expected that so no big deal. Overall it will serve its purpose and allow me to be more independent when airing up.

            Great Portable Compressor

This Smittybuilt portable air compressor is absolutely great... it pushes a large volume of air quickly which is just what is needed to re-inflate my 35's. I highly recommend it if you are looking for a portable compressor. It could be permanently mounted as well (think air lockers) but you would need to do some wiring and there are other compressors better suited to that task.

            Good unit with a But

At a event with my daughter running 35’s on Wrangler’s. After finding the enclosed gauge broke out of the box and to leaving without time to exchange it we used the unit. We inflated 6 tires when the yellow flex hose blow about 2” from the compressor coupling. Luckily we were at a course that had compressors available for if we were out in the middle of nowhere it would have been a more serious issue. We’ll see how it go’s after we get the replacement hose and gauge which Smittybuilt is promptly sending.
