How to Install Rugged Ridge High Mount LED 3rd Brake Light (07-18 Wrangler JK) on your Jeep Wrangler

1. Start by opening the rear tailgate and removing the (4) T-20 torx screws along the back face of the factory 3rd brake light bracket.


2. Once the screws have been removed, the front face of the 3rd brake light bracket will separate. Unplug the factory wiring harness. The harness has a tight seal and might require some light prying to remove.


3. Plug the new Rugged Ridge LED 3rd brake light in, utilizing the factory harness. Again, the fitment is tights and make require slight pressure to fully seat. 


4. Finish the installation by re-positioning the front half with back half of the 3rd brake light bracket. Attach with the (4) T-20 torx screws.
