Hey, guys. So today I'm here with the RedRock 4x4 Side Armor with Step Pads fitting all 2018 and up four-door JL Wranglers. So these are gonna be a perfect option for the JL owner who's looking to fill up this extra space but they didn't get side steps out of the factory or even if you do have those factory side steps and you're not a fan or you've banged one up on the trail, these are gonna be a perfect option. These are gonna serve the double purpose of giving you a boost up into your Jeep with the step pads on the side armor and they're also going to do a lot better at protecting your rocker panel than the factory side steps would considering these are made of a steel tube construction. These are also gonna give you a little bit of form as well with the two stage black texture powder coat finish on it and that finish is also going to do a good job at protecting the seal underneath from rusting. Now I would recommend this kind of step to someone who's doing a lot of rock crawling and doesn't want something that is going to hang down lower, maybe has a drop down step that can get caught up on obstacles. This is gonna have some side protection. It's gonna stick out a little bit father but it's also gonna have that underbody protection and that's why I really like these steps. Now these are gonna be a very affordable option on the page right now for side steps at roughly $300, making them a very affordable option. So when comparing these to other options on the page lesser expensive options are traditional. They're just gonna be for that rounded step and they're gonna serve that basic one purpose of just helping you get a step up into your Jeep and double as a little bit of light side protection. Now on the other end of that, other more expensive options, they're usually gonna be a lot more in depth. They may have a drop down step. They may have removable steps. They may even just be made by premium brands. Now what I like about this, it's gonna serve that double purpose of some heavy duty armor on the side of your Wrangler while also giving you a little bit of step with a little extra traction up here with the ribs, and I definitely think for $300 that they're definitely worth their price. Now install's gonna be a very light two out of three wrenches on the difficulty meter. There's not a lot going on here but it is gonna take you a little bit of time and a couple of basic hand tools. So speaking of the install, let's jump into that now.The tools that I used for my install were an impact wrench, 13 millimeter deep socket, 10 millimeter deep socket, quarter inch drive ratchet and a 10 millimeter wrench. So before we head underneath the Jeep to attach our new side armor you will need a 10 millimeter socket, a 10 millimeter wrench as well as a 13 millimeter socket and a ratchet or an impact wrench. So what I would recommend to do if you're doing this by yourself, you can put it up in place and stick a bolt through the pinch weld. That's gonna be able to hold it in place for you while you grab your hardware to secure that down. Now you are going to grab your larger provided hardware, the lock washer and the flat washer, and spread that into the body. There should be a location there. Throw that in.So after we have the center adjusted and tightened down we're gonna move onto the other two body mounts. Right now I'm gonna be in the front. This is gonna be a little bit hard to see just because of this bracket here, but that's gonna be right behind this mount. And we can thread that up into the body. Once that's threaded in you can take a 13 millimeter socket and tighten that down. Now we can do the same thing on the rear. Now we can move on to the pinch weld bolts. So what we can do now is take our small hardware and attach it through our pinch weld. So after those are on there we can take a 10 millimeter wrench and a 10 millimeter socket and go ahead and tighten those down. After those are tightened down we can do the same thing on the other two mounts. So that's gonna wrap it up for my review and install.
