Hey, guys. It's Sara with extremeterrain.com. And today, we have review and install of the Raxiom LED Projector Headlights fitting your '18 to '20 Jeep Wrangler JL. These are perfect for the Jeep owner who wants to completely change the look of their headlights and wants a projector-style option that features a plug and play install. These projector-style headlights feature enhanced brightness for more visibility when driving at night and also feature these unique LED accents. They're constructed from clear polycarbonate lenses with black ABS plastic housings that are DOT and SAE approved. Each housing is weather sealed to prevent moisture or debris from getting inside your headlight and they also feature a complete plug and play installation with a wiring harness included. So, as far as price goes, these come in at around $400, which is middle of the road price-wise when compared to other options. And for your money, you're getting the function of a projector headlight with the unique styling of these LED accents.I'm giving this install a two out of three wrenches on the difficulty meter. It features a direct plug and play install, but you will need to run a wiring harness from the back of your headlights to the fuse box. Either way, they do make it nice and it is plug and play for you guys. All in all, it can be done within two hours. So, with that said, let's jump into our install. For this install, you will need an impact gun or ratchet, a 10-millimeter socket, and a pop clip removal tool. All right. So, the first step in our install is to remove the pop clips that are holding on our grille. So, let's grab a pop clip removal tool and get these out. All right. So, the rest of the grille is attached along the bottom and sides with pop clips. Firmly, grab the grille and pull back towards you. And you should be able to remove it. All right. With our headlights exposed now, we can grab a 10-millimeter socket if you can find one and go ahead and zip the three bolts that are holding on your headlight. Pull your headlight off. Locate the connector at the back. Press down on the connector and remove it.All right. So, at this point, we're going to install the wiring harness to our fuse box. Go ahead and squeeze the box on either side and lift up the top. All right. Now, we're going for F52, which should be this one right here. Can grab your yellow tweezers. Go ahead and grab the fuse that's existing in there and pull it out. Grab your wiring harness, make sure both of your fuses are in there and plug it into the F52 spot. Make sure it's fully plugged in. All right. Now, tuck your harness down out of the way. We're going to replace the cover. Now, we can route our harness around towards the headlight that we just uninstalled. I'm going to go behind the battery and feel free to use some zip ties here to secure it. You can go under the intake, but for now, I'm just going to go above right here. This section is going to go over to our driver side and then this connector is going to come down through for our passenger side light that we were just working on.Okay. Now, we can install our headlight. Plug in your main connector to the factory connector. Make sure you hear the click. Now, we're going to plug in the auxiliary harness that we ran to the fuse box into this white wire here. All right. Now you can route your wiring behind your light. And again, you can tuck this away, maybe with zip ties to make sure it's secured and out of the way. Line up your headlight with your bolt holes. And there should be plastic tabs to assist you in each of these. Grab your factory hardware and reinstall it. Grab your 10-millimeter socket and impact and go ahead and tighten these down. Just remember that you are going into plastic, so don't go crazy. If you will use this, you can also use a ratchet. All right. So, now, that we have our factory headlight uninstalled from our Jeep, we can check it out side by side with this Raxiom headlight. Now, our Sahara has projectors from the factory and these Raxiom come with projectors as well, so you're going to get similar function there. The biggest difference comes in with the styling of the LED accents. Our factory headlight has a round LED bar on the edge of it, where this Raxiom really changes it up a bunch. So, it's going to give your headlights a completely different look, whether they're on or off. So, with that said, let's finish up our install.Moving on to our driver side headlight, grab your 10-millimeter again, and we'll zip out the three bolts holding it in. Pull out your factory headlight, locate your connector here. Press it down and remove it. All right. So, now, we have the other end of the wiring harness that we routed across the Jeep. We're gonna plug it in to power our LEDs, that's the white wire here. And then the main harness, plug into your factory connector. Go ahead and route your wiring. Can use some zip ties here as well if you need. Line up the bolt holes on your light and there should be classic pins as well to help you line them up. Go ahead and thread in your factory hardware. Grab your 10-millimeter and tighten these down. Now, we can reinstall the grille. Line it up top and then press it in in the clips on the bottom. Replace all of the factory pop clips. All right. So, that is going to do it for the review and install of these headlights. And remember for all things Jeep, keep it at extremeterrain.com.
