    Review & Install Video

<P>This Oracle LED Waterproof Halo Headlight Conversion Kit in Amber is for those of you that have the 2007 to 2018 JK that are looking for a way to add some accent lighting to the front of your Jeep to change up the look of your Jeep. That's really what these are about. Not going to add a ton of functionality, a little bit of visibility, but this is really about adding some attitude and adding some customization to your Jeep, and doing it in a way that's going to be pretty easy. These are going to install on the outside of your headlight housing, so you don't have to worry about breaking open your headlight housing, installing a halo ring, then trying to reseal everything, put it back together, or purchasing a full headlight housing that already has a halo in it that can be more expensive. This is going to be a nice easy installation, but there is still going to be some wiring involved, so we're going to go two out of three wrenches on this, but we are going to show you how to do it in just a second.&nbsp;<BR style="FONT-SIZE: 12px; WHITE-SPACE: normal; WORD-SPACING: 0px; TEXT-TRANSFORM: none; FONT-WEIGHT: 400; COLOR: rgb(51,51,51); FONT-STYLE: normal; TEXT-ALIGN: justify; ORPHANS: 2; WIDOWS: 2; LETTER-SPACING: normal; BACKGROUND-COLOR: rgb(248,248,248); font-variant-ligatures: normal; font-variant-caps: normal; -webkit-text-stroke-width: 0px; text-decoration-style: initial; text-decoration-color: initial"><BR style="FONT-SIZE: 12px; WHITE-SPACE: normal; WORD-SPACING: 0px; TEXT-TRANSFORM: none; FONT-WEIGHT: 400; COLOR: rgb(51,51,51); FONT-STYLE: normal; TEXT-ALIGN: justify; ORPHANS: 2; WIDOWS: 2; LETTER-SPACING: normal; BACKGROUND-COLOR: rgb(248,248,248); font-variant-ligatures: normal; font-variant-caps: normal; -webkit-text-stroke-width: 0px; text-decoration-style: initial; text-decoration-color: initial">So again, if you're looking for some accent lighting, you want to be more visible, you just want to change up the look of your Jeep, a halo is a good way to do that. But a lot of you aren't going to want to open up your headlight housings and install these. So what Oracle did was come up with a waterproof version, these ones here, where you just peel off some 3M adhesive, you stick it onto the outside of the headlight housing, and then wire it up. No need to open up the housing. This is, of course, going to be the amber option. These come in white as well. So it depends on the look that you're going for. These being that they're amber, if you wanted to do something pretty trick, you could wire these up to the turn signals if you wanted to. You can also wire them to your parking lights, to your headlights, you can wire them to an independent switch, you can wire them however you want. You have a lot of flexibility, which is one nice thing about these. However, with that flexibility, the fact that they only have a pigtail here where you put 12 volts and a ground to, you are going to have to do some wiring to get these things hooked up.&nbsp;<BR style="FONT-SIZE: 12px; WHITE-SPACE: normal; WORD-SPACING: 0px; TEXT-TRANSFORM: none; FONT-WEIGHT: 400; COLOR: rgb(51,51,51); FONT-STYLE: normal; TEXT-ALIGN: justify; ORPHANS: 2; WIDOWS: 2; LETTER-SPACING: normal; BACKGROUND-COLOR: rgb(248,248,248); font-variant-ligatures: normal; font-variant-caps: normal; -webkit-text-stroke-width: 0px; text-decoration-style: initial; text-decoration-color: initial"><BR style="FONT-SIZE: 12px; WHITE-SPACE: normal; WORD-SPACING: 0px; TEXT-TRANSFORM: none; FONT-WEIGHT: 400; COLOR: rgb(51,51,51); FONT-STYLE: normal; TEXT-ALIGN: justify; ORPHANS: 2; WIDOWS: 2; LETTER-SPACING: normal; BACKGROUND-COLOR: rgb(248,248,248); font-variant-ligatures: normal; font-variant-caps: normal; -webkit-text-stroke-width: 0px; text-decoration-style: initial; text-decoration-color: initial">Again, fairly simple to install the ring itself, just peel off the 3M adhesive and stick it on, but the wiring is what's going to step this up to those two out of three wrenches. Now these are gonna come in at right around that $180 mark, which I do think is pretty fair for what you're getting here. Of course, there are gonna be less expensive halos out there, but you're not going to get the quality that you get here from Oracle. These are going to be really high-quality diodes, the LEDs themselves. They're going to be completely waterproof, so you're not gonna have to worry about any of them burning out. You're gonna get this nice big relay here that's going to ensure that these get the exact amount of power that they need. So again, you're not gonna have any of them burn out prematurely. Gonna last a long time, they're gonna be nice and bright for you. So I do think this is going to be a pretty good balance of price and quality.<BR style="FONT-SIZE: 12px; WHITE-SPACE: normal; WORD-SPACING: 0px; TEXT-TRANSFORM: none; FONT-WEIGHT: 400; COLOR: rgb(51,51,51); FONT-STYLE: normal; TEXT-ALIGN: justify; ORPHANS: 2; WIDOWS: 2; LETTER-SPACING: normal; BACKGROUND-COLOR: rgb(248,248,248); font-variant-ligatures: normal; font-variant-caps: normal; -webkit-text-stroke-width: 0px; text-decoration-style: initial; text-decoration-color: initial"><BR style="FONT-SIZE: 12px; WHITE-SPACE: normal; WORD-SPACING: 0px; TEXT-TRANSFORM: none; FONT-WEIGHT: 400; COLOR: rgb(51,51,51); FONT-STYLE: normal; TEXT-ALIGN: justify; ORPHANS: 2; WIDOWS: 2; LETTER-SPACING: normal; BACKGROUND-COLOR: rgb(248,248,248); font-variant-ligatures: normal; font-variant-caps: normal; -webkit-text-stroke-width: 0px; text-decoration-style: initial; text-decoration-color: initial">So I talked about the installation a lot already. We're gonna go ahead and show you how to get these installed right now.<BR><BR>All right, first thing we're gonna do is open our hood. All right. Next thing we're gonna do is prep for the headlight to stick our halo rings on. This is an important step. We want our 3M tape to bond well to the headlight, so we're gonna take an alcohol wipe and make sure that our headlight is nice and clean. All right. We're now ready to start peeling off the red portion of the 3M tape. All right. Once you've got your 3M backing peeled off, we're now ready to stick the halo onto our headlight. We're gonna take our plugin here and route it through the hole in our grille, and then we can center up the halo and get it pushed into place here. We want to apply some pressure to the 3M.<BR style="FONT-SIZE: 12px; WHITE-SPACE: normal; WORD-SPACING: 0px; TEXT-TRANSFORM: none; FONT-WEIGHT: 400; COLOR: rgb(51,51,51); FONT-STYLE: normal; TEXT-ALIGN: justify; ORPHANS: 2; WIDOWS: 2; LETTER-SPACING: normal; BACKGROUND-COLOR: rgb(248,248,248); font-variant-ligatures: normal; font-variant-caps: normal; -webkit-text-stroke-width: 0px; text-decoration-style: initial; text-decoration-color: initial"><BR style="FONT-SIZE: 12px; WHITE-SPACE: normal; WORD-SPACING: 0px; TEXT-TRANSFORM: none; FONT-WEIGHT: 400; COLOR: rgb(51,51,51); FONT-STYLE: normal; TEXT-ALIGN: justify; ORPHANS: 2; WIDOWS: 2; LETTER-SPACING: normal; BACKGROUND-COLOR: rgb(248,248,248); font-variant-ligatures: normal; font-variant-caps: normal; -webkit-text-stroke-width: 0px; text-decoration-style: initial; text-decoration-color: initial">All right, once you've got your halo wire routed through your grille, you can connect the other end of the wiring to your halo, and we'll hop over to the other side now and do the other side. All right, we can do the same thing on the other side. I'm going to peel back the red backing tape on our 3M here. And before we stick our halo on, we want to go ahead and make sure we clean this with our alcohol pad. All right. Now we can stick our halo on. We're gonna route our wire through here first, center this up, and apply some pressure. All right. We've got our wire ran through our grille here. We're going to take the other end and connect it. And we can start routing our wires.&nbsp;<BR style="FONT-SIZE: 12px; WHITE-SPACE: normal; WORD-SPACING: 0px; TEXT-TRANSFORM: none; FONT-WEIGHT: 400; COLOR: rgb(51,51,51); FONT-STYLE: normal; TEXT-ALIGN: justify; ORPHANS: 2; WIDOWS: 2; LETTER-SPACING: normal; BACKGROUND-COLOR: rgb(248,248,248); font-variant-ligatures: normal; font-variant-caps: normal; -webkit-text-stroke-width: 0px; text-decoration-style: initial; text-decoration-color: initial"><BR style="FONT-SIZE: 12px; WHITE-SPACE: normal; WORD-SPACING: 0px; TEXT-TRANSFORM: none; FONT-WEIGHT: 400; COLOR: rgb(51,51,51); FONT-STYLE: normal; TEXT-ALIGN: justify; ORPHANS: 2; WIDOWS: 2; LETTER-SPACING: normal; BACKGROUND-COLOR: rgb(248,248,248); font-variant-ligatures: normal; font-variant-caps: normal; -webkit-text-stroke-width: 0px; text-decoration-style: initial; text-decoration-color: initial">There's several different ways you guys can wire up your halos. Just to show you how they look, I'm going to run the wires up to our battery here, and we're gonna get these hooked up to the battery.&nbsp;<BR style="FONT-SIZE: 12px; WHITE-SPACE: normal; WORD-SPACING: 0px; TEXT-TRANSFORM: none; FONT-WEIGHT: 400; COLOR: rgb(51,51,51); FONT-STYLE: normal; TEXT-ALIGN: justify; ORPHANS: 2; WIDOWS: 2; LETTER-SPACING: normal; BACKGROUND-COLOR: rgb(248,248,248); font-variant-ligatures: normal; font-variant-caps: normal; -webkit-text-stroke-width: 0px; text-decoration-style: initial; text-decoration-color: initial"><BR style="FONT-SIZE: 12px; WHITE-SPACE: normal; WORD-SPACING: 0px; TEXT-TRANSFORM: none; FONT-WEIGHT: 400; COLOR: rgb(51,51,51); FONT-STYLE: normal; TEXT-ALIGN: justify; ORPHANS: 2; WIDOWS: 2; LETTER-SPACING: normal; BACKGROUND-COLOR: rgb(248,248,248); font-variant-ligatures: normal; font-variant-caps: normal; -webkit-text-stroke-width: 0px; text-decoration-style: initial; text-decoration-color: initial">And just keep in mind guys that there are several different ways to wire up your halos. You can wire them to your daytime running lights, your side marker lights, or you can put them on a toggle switch. Just for the video today though, I'm gonna be hooking up the wires right to the battery terminals, just to get these lit up to show you guys what they look like on the Jeep. All right guys, that's gonna wrap up our review and install. Be sure to check out more at extremeterrain.com.</P>

Can a regulator of some kind be installed to change the brightness? I have some Oracle led halos (blue). They are way to bright. Looks cool just to bright at night.

        • It would be best to consult with Oracle directly on this matter. We are unaware of any way to adjust the brightness on the Oracle LED Waterproof Headlight Halo Kit.

            Great product

Great product and simple installation, only thing was when I looked up videos on installation they said to hook it up to the parking lights which are also the turn lights. I found it more effect to hook up to my fog lights instead

            Great mod!

These external halo rings definitely add some character to your Jeep! I recommend purchasing T Tap electrical connectors to easily tap into your parking lights, and some electrical tape to properly secure your connections from water and dust/dirt. Installation for a total novice (me) took 40 mins, but that's because I wanted to be extra careful what I was doing and ensuring all the wiring was tucked and stowed neatly. And yes, these Halo's are BRIGHT!

They replaced them but just a hassle to have them start going out so quick. I do love the look and how bright they are.

            THESE BABIES ARE SWEET

I have the Mango Tango JKU so these Amber Halos perfectly accent the color. They took about 5 minutes to install and splice and they turn heads INSTANTLY whenever I have them on. If you're thinking about getting them, DO IT; you wont regret it. NOTE: If you get them, splice into the FOG lights or aux source, not the parking lights (as suggested). This way you can turn them off and on as needed without being on constantly if you have your headlights on.
