Merideth: If you need some solid sun protection while enjoying the open air in your Jeep with the full top off, this Mastertop MasterTwill Bimini Top Plus will be a great addition to your 2018 or newer four-door JL Wrangler. This top will be a great picture of the JL owner who wants a little bit more than a mesh top has to offer completely blocking out the harsh sun and harmful UV rays while still being able to enjoy the open-air ride and cover both the front and the rear seats. The material will also be a little heavier weight and more durable, while also offering a very premium appearance, which is great for the Jeep owner who is looking for a premium look while also being very durable and lasting in the long run. This will also be an all-in-one top that won't require you to get a separate header or door surrounds, making this super easy to put on. The top itself will be made of a 30-ounce three-layer twill material that, again, will be heavier in weight, which will provide a little bit more protection and durability than some of the other lighter choices. This will also come with vinyl-reinforced straps and heavy-duty buckles that will keep the top secure and prevent it from flapping around, causing any annoyance while driving. Now at the front, this will include a heavy-duty rubber seal for under the windshield for great weather protection, so you won't need a specialty header. Now you can also choose to use the door surrounds that you may have, or if you don't have them, you don't necessarily need to use them to ensure a great fit. With all of its features and the quality in the materials and the overall build, this is affordable. At roughly $200, not only are you getting a premium heavyweight fabric but you also don't have to outsource for additional parts, unlike some other choices that will require a specific header in order to install them. Now, others on the page may not have every bell and whistle that you see here. So, if you're looking for a premium top to protect you on your topless adventures, then this is a great way to do it. When it comes to install, this will be an easy one out of three wrenches on a difficulty meter, taking you about an hour to get everything installed with minimal hand tools. Now at this point, we can head over to the shop, and one of our guys there is gonna show you a detailed breakdown on how to get this onto your JL at home. That's gonna wrap it up for me. Let's get into the install.Male Speaker: We use these for the install, quarter-inch drive ratchet, quarter-inch drive extension, and T20 torques. Hey guys, I'm gonna show you how to install our soft top here on our 2018 Wrangler. So let's get started. So we have our top off. We're going install this canvas top off the top here. So what I'm gonna first do is just to get it so it holds in place. So I'm gonna pull this over, and pull our straps underneath here, this one here, and I'm gonna tie it to this right here for now, just to get this in place so we can hold each end up. So that gives us time to pull it forward and start putting our straps through the front and getting that in place. So I'm gonna take this, feed it through and tie this in, just like that for now. Then I'm gonna go on the other side, do the same thing. So now I'm gonna come over and do this side over here. We're gonna feed this through. And now, I'm doing this just so I can hold the top up. This will give me the access to start putting our straps in the front, and I'm gonna show you how to fish them through. So we'll just do this for now, just to get it to hold it in place. So next, what we're gonna do, we're gonna take our straps, and you're just going wanna smooth them out like that and fish them through here and then reach underneath, and you're able to pull it through. Same with this one. It's just behind the roll bar here. Grab hold of it. I'll give it a pull. I'm just gonna fish that one through, and I'm just gonna reach in there, grab a hold of it, and pull it up into place.Make sure we pull it down, so it goes underneath like that. And now you're gonna wanna repeat this same procedure on the opposite side. So now what we're gonna do is we're gonna take our farthest strap up in this area to this buckle here and give it a pull. I'm gonna pull it over here, put it through our strap, our buckle, I should say. Push it to this way and pull it tight. You are able to tuck the rest of the strap up inside here, behind the other part of the strap. You're gonna wanna do that and repeat that same procedure on the opposite side. So now what we're gonna do is remove our two buckles that we stuck on top of this little mount there. And I'm going to get these started with the strap pretty much like that. And what I'm gonna do is put the buckle back on, hook it up, and I'm gonna pull on that strap there. We're gonna make that pretty tight. We're gonna do the same with this one over here. We wanna make sure that our seals are good up top there. I'm gonna take this, put it in, push it through, put it back in place, got that, and just pull it tight like that. And you're able to tuck the rest of the strap and wrap it around for the round. I just wanna make sure everything's tight and that seal's in place. And now you're gonna want to just repeat that same procedure on the opposite side. Now we're gonna do our two side straps, this one and this one. We're gonna get this to fish through here and push it up into this strap. Sometimes when they burn the ends of these straps, it makes it a little tough. I'm gonna pull that tight. We're able to tuck our excess behind our strap here. Same with this one here. Put this one in.There you go. That one tight. We'll do the same. I'll tuck it up underneath the strap here. And now what you're gonna do is wanna repeat that same procedure on the opposite side. So now what we're gonna do is remove this buckle right here on the inside of our canvas top. There's a T20 Torx right here we're going to have to remove first. So, I have a T20 Torx in my quarter inch dry ratchet. I'm gonna take this out and what I'm gonna do is just take the Velcro here, remove this part of it, stick our T20 Torx back through this. I'm gonna fish it in there cause it's gonna go something like that. Get it back in place. And that's gonna give us access to fish this through, then once we get the top all the way stretched and that'll hold it in place there. Now you're just gonna wanna repeat the same procedure on the opposite side. Now we're gonna do these three straps right here. We're gonna take this strap from the front on the other side here, push it through, again, feed it back through this way like that, hold on, give it a good pull, and pull it tight.I'm gonna tuck the excess up in the side of the strap like that. Now, the same with this one. It's just through here. Back up through there. Come down on this one and get that tight. We'll be able to tuck the excess up either there or underneath here, however you want to do it. This one, repeat that through. We're gonna pull that down, pull that tight. Now we'll go into our back one. We're gonna do our corner one the same way. We're gonna pull down. Fish this through, pull our corner tight. Tuck this down. And now you're gonna wanna repeat this whole procedure on the opposite side. So now we're gonna do our two back straps right here. Same way. We'll fish it through. Pull and pull tight. Wrap the rest of the excess strap underneath. Same on this side. Tuck the excess up inside, just like that. So the last thing we wanna do, just take that little Velcro piece that we put in with our T20 Torx just like that and tie that up in place. Now you're gonna wanna repeat that same procedure on the opposite side, and that'll wrap up this install.Merideth: So that is going to wrap it up for my review and the install of the Mastertop MasterTwill Bimini Top Plus, fitting all 2018 in new four-door JL Wranglers.
