Fit is inaccurate !!!
Agreeing with all the other complaints on here. This exhaust does Not fit directly over your existing pipe. Flowmaster allows absolutely no give when they make this. About an 1/8 more in diameter this would be much easier. It’s a bolt on product that will need some modifications. I pretty much pried the opening of the exhaust enough to get it on with some extreme force. Then opened the clamp all the way to wrap around the bended opening and bolt tight. If your looking for something to just bolt on your gonna have an issue!Helpful (1)

Not a true fit.
The pipe does not fit. It won't go all the way on. The chrome tip taps on the frame while stopped. Very annoying.Helpful (2)

American thunder is what my neighbors probably called my screaming frustration as a buddy an I attempted to force on this exhaust. Finish on mine looked nice but no matter how much I attempted to force the “bolt-on” exhaust it would not fit. I called a local muffler shop to ask if they could dilate the section that was to slip over the stock exhaust pipe but I ended up having them install the axle back themselves because they said the pipe was oval at the end and had to cut off the slip over part and weld a new piece. If you have a welder and saws all then get this because if you don’t win the lottery with a piece that fits you can make it fit. Otherwise, plan on having a muffler shop install the part and save yourself the time and frustration. Gave it three stars because after it was in it clears up the rear of the Jeep well and looks good to get the stock muffler out of the space. Price is solid (not including muffler shop fee) and exhaust for a straight pipe is not as loud as you would think it would be. Gets loud around 3000-4000 RPM but at all other revs it’s very docile and a pleasure to listen to. I may weld on a MagnaFlow in the place of my resonator at a later date to even out the sound but very livable with just this. No highway drone. Also have it paired with a KandN cold air intake so idk if that changes my sound from anyone else’s. Hope this helps guys.Helpful (7)

Do not recommend.
I ordered this part with the full intentions of slap it on quickly because it looks like a good fit. Well first thing I noticed once I got it out of the box, was a 1” split crack at the top of the pipe by the polished tip. Me being a welder I figured that’s an easy fix. So I go to install the exhaust anyway. However come to find out the stock pipe over axle is the same diameter as the fitting on the new exhaust piece.. I tried for an hour and a half to adjust the size or some how get these two pipes to fit like the intrusctions say. I wound of using my sawzaw to cut the stock pipe off and weld it on. So much for an easy install. Other then those issues it sounds good and is high clearance for sure. Goodluck!Helpful (10)
