These matched up perfectly with the barricade armour we had just installed a week ago. These flares are heavy, well made and finshed off the look we wanted for my sons 97 TJ. He loves them.

Ask a Question

Do these require sheet metal trimming or do they fit stock wheel well opening? Or should I use the TJ version on my YJ? Need to open up the wheel well. Thanks.

Dokdirt

  • The Barricade Rear Fender w/ 3 in. Flare would require some trimming of the stock fender. You could make the TJ version work, however it would require some more trimming to factory fender well.

what do you do for a front turn signal with this style fender my vehicle is 06 TJ thanks andy

andy

  • For the front Barricade tube fenders, aftermarket turn signal lights are required if you state requires them. We do not have any turn signal lights that will work, but a 7/8 inch led light would work.

Does it matter if you put the Barricade corner guards on first or the fenders first

MAC

  • Thank you for your question! For install, you would be unable to install the corner guards without removing the fenders first.

    Rear Barricade Metal Tube Fender

Install is easy. Removing your factory fenders is what takes a little bit of time. I recommend a good ratcheting box end wrench to do so. To less than a hour to do each side. The fit and finish was great and they look to be able to handle rubbing up on trees and rocks, in lieu of the factory ones tearing off.

    Best bang for your buck

I was looking for fenders for my 03 tj , and I couldn't see spending the money for metal cloaks or genright . These are a quarter of the cost and are well made other then the finish does chip .

The best rear fenders for the price

The Barricade 3 in. rear fenders take about an hour to install once your previous fenders are off. It doesn't line up perfectly flush with the bottom of the body of the jeep, but it still looks great. Larger washers are a must because the ones that are included are a bit small. After installing, they held up to me standing on them and rocking the jeep. Overall, these were the most durable rear fenders for the price after searching everywhere online and in stores. Definitely worth it!

Review from Barricade Rear Fender Flares (97-06 Wrangler TJ)

    Good Quality - Great Price

For the price, you can't beat them. The welds look good. The coating looks good. They installed really easy and fit right up with the holes on the body. One tip, if you are doing armor on your corners, do these flares first. I installed Poison Spyder corners a few months back, and these flares didn't sit flush with the body because the armor was in the way. It wasn't a big deal, I just ground down the flare where there was interference, and it fit perfectly. I read another review that said if your are using barricade armor, this wasn't an issue which makes sense. So, either use barricade armor on the corners or install the flares before the armor. In general, buy with confidence.

Heavy duty but came in two different colors!!

My first impression of these were heavy duty and sturdy. After further inspection I noticed they were two different colors one flat black with almost no texture and one satin black with heavy texture. I'm not sure who checks these before they ship but I was disappointed.

    Barricade Rear Fender Flares

Very impressed with the rugged quality and great look of these flares. Together with the front fenders and rear panel it's a great look. I'm satisfied Barricade products will stand up to any tortures on the trails! Great quality and great price. There has already been lots of interest and "where did you get them from" questions. Highly recommend.

    Heavy duty product !

I put these rear flares on my 98 LSX powered TJ. The fit and finish was nice ,but because I own a bodyshop ,I decided to paint mine to match. I have to say they look awesome and the install is simple. These flares are heavy duty and well built. If you know lefty loosey and righty tighty ,you can put these on yourself. Time for me to install was less than 2 hours . You will love these on your Jeep!
