Design. This six piece fender flare kit from Rugged Ridge includes everything needed to replace all four fenders. The fenders are made from strong, durable, flexible ABS plastic, and are treated with a UV protection to prevent sun-related cracking or fading. The included hardware is made from stainless steel that's completely rust-proof for long-time shine. This kit is the right choice for the Jeep enthusiast who wants aggressive looking flares that can stand up to any terrain.

Construction. These fender flares are made from slightly-textured ABS plastic that's painted a cool black, but paintable using any type of automotive grade paint. The fasteners easily attach the front fenders on factory mounting points for most models, though some may require additional drilling. There is drilling required for all models to attach the rear fenders. Jeeps with tires larger than 33 inches may require trimming. Rugged Ridge offers a limited five year warranty.

Application. This six piece fender flare kit fits 1987 - 1995 YJ Wranglers

Note: Trimming may be required for tires larger then 33". Drilling is required for installation of rear fenders.

How wide are these fender flares. 1 answer says 6 inches off fender and another says 4 inches. From the fender to the end of the flare, how much actual coverage do these fender flares give me. In California we are required to cover the entire tread. If I get close, police usually don’t question people unless they are pulled over for other reasons.

        • The Rugged Ridge All-Terrain Fender Flares measure 6" from the existing fender.

What is the width of stock flares versus what you offer. I'm looking for something 6" wide in the style that shows the stainless fasteners. Thank you.

        • The Rugged Ridge All Terrain Fender Flares are 6" wide, which is approximately 2.5" wider than the factory fender flare.

any way i can get the two rears flares and the lining only ?

        • Unfortunately at this time we only offer the Rugged Ridge All Terrain 6 Piece Fender Flare Kit as a complete kit. We would recommend contacting Rugged Ridge to see if these components are available for purchase separately.

Do you have these fender flares in gray?

        • Hello! I apologize but these fender flares are not offered in gray!

The fenders say they are 52x28x8. Does that mean they are 8" directly off of the body? I am running 38x14.5r16 Toyos and need fenders that cover the tires by atlas 7", but 8" would be best. So it's important I find out just how much tire coverage these fenders provide. If they aren't wide enough could you please let me know of fenders that would provide 7-8" of tire coverage? Thank you.

        • Hello, This kit would provide about 4" of coverage. The RedRock 4x4 7 in. Fender Flare Kit is designed to help you stay legal on road with 7 inches of tire coverage and it can be found here: http://www.extremeterrain.com/redrock-4x4-7in-flare-kit-j103868.html

            Awesome

My OEM flares were useless with my offset wheels and Buckshot tires. I drive a lot of gravel, and it was like being in a meteor shower. Side mirrors were broken on a regular basis. It wasn't pleasant to have to top down and take a gravel road. These flares have all the coverage needed to eliminate the issue. The installation was straightforward and for my 33" tires, no cutting was needed. Just a lot of drilling. From my experience, I would remove the windshield washer fluid reservoir so you don't accidentally pierce it and have to plug the hole. Hopefully that helps someone out.

            Happy Guy

These fender flares are amazing, they worked out perfectly and very happy with the installation done by Turn 5 . I couldn’t be more happier with the outcome of the completion of the job. I will definitely purchase more stuff for my 95YJ from extreme terrain

            YOWZA. Great look!

I have a 95 YJ. It's pretty easy on the front to install. The rear 2 bolts are accessible from the bottom by removing mud guard. On the driver side loosen washer fluid tank and raise as you will drill through tank. (Already repaired btw.) Except for the turn signal lights, all new holes have to be drilled. Longer screws for lights not included. Rear fenders. 1 screw will be inside seat belt mount. I drilled a 1/2" hole on inside to get a deep socket in there for nut. Don't drop a nut as they are stainless and even a strong magnet can't get it out. All in all, lotsa work doing by yourself. Took me 2 days. Looks awesome. Time for more stuff

            Wide tire relief

I have had a problem with to much mud on the inside of the windshield from the wide tires. These solved the problem and more. I totally recommend these. Plus they make the Jeep really tuff!

            Excellent product

These really fit perfect and look excellent. It will take a little time to install and you will need to remove the inner guards on the rear fender wells to drill the bolt holes.

            Lot of work!!!!

None of the original holes line up. You will be drilling all new holes. Careful be cause some of the holes end up in blind spots, that is you cannot access the new bolts to put a nut on them. Still trying to work that out. The rear mud shields for sure have to come out which is a good trick because they were obviously installed before the body was mounted to the frame. The frame is in the way of several of the screws.
