Simple installation for anyone.
I'm Ryan from ExtremeTerrain.com and this is my review of the Barricade Mirror Relocation Kit fitting all 2007 to 2016 JKs. This kit is available in the textured black powder coated finish that you see here and it's also available in a gloss black powder coat. There are a few different options when you are trying to retain your rear view mirrors when driving doorless. You can either install a quick release mirror bracket on the A pillar of your Jeep and take the mirrors on and off every time you install and uninstall your doors. Another option would be to get a mirror that doesn't have a bracket and that just sits in the factory door hinge, and again, every time you take the door on and off, you have to install and uninstall that mirror. I really like a setup like this because it permanently moves your factory mirror from the door onto the A pillar of the Jeep, which helps to eliminate that additional step of installing and uninstalling the mirrors every time you take the doors on and off. Now, unfortunately with a setup like this, if you have power mirrors or heated mirrors, you are going to lose that functionality. So, if you're somebody who's in that boat and you want to retain that function, maybe one of those other options I talked about would be a better fit. However, Barricade did a really nice job of overcoming one of the other shortfalls of a mirror setup like this. Traditionally when you install the mirrors on the A pillar, because you move them forward a little bit, it can be hard to see the passenger side rear view mirror from the driver's seat. What Barricade did was make the passenger side fully adjustable to three different locations to ensure that you can see that mirror even from a comfortable seated position in the driver's seat. Overall I think this is a really well put together kit that's less expensive than some of the other ones on the market, and has even more functions. These relocation brackets are made of steel and they're coated in either a textured black powder coat finish or a gloss black powder coat finish, so you can choose whatever matches your build. They come with these block off plates to cover the factory locations where the mirrors would mount in your doors. They come with the brackets that go on the A pillar and gaskets to go between the metal of the bracket and the painted surface of your Jeep to keep it from chafing and ruining the paint. With a setup like this you do use your factory mirrors, which helps to keep the cost down a little bit over some of those quick release setups that have both a bracket and a mirror. The installation of this mirror relocation kit is really straightforward. The first step in the process is to remove the factory mirror brackets and mirrors from the inside of the door. Once those are removed, you can install the block off plates that come in this kit. After that you'll remove the two Torx bolts out of the windshield hinges in order to install the new relocation brackets into place using the gaskets that are included. After that, it's as simple as reinstalling the factory mirrors onto the new brackets and adjusting the passenger side bracket so that you can comfortably see the mirror. The whole installation process shouldn't take you more than two hours, and you won't need any specialty tools, just some Torx bits. This kit is priced really fairly for what you get. Between the gaskets, the block off plates, your choice of finishes, and the adjustability of the passenger side mirror, I think you get a lot of features, and it's definitely worth the price. So, if you want to stay both legal and safe when driving without your doors on, and you're somebody who either doesn't mind losing the power functions of their factory mirrors or doesn't have them to start with, I think this is a really nice kit that saves you an extra step every time you take your doors on and off. So, that's my review of the Barricade Mirror Relocation Kit fitting all 2007 to 2016 JKs that you can find right here at ExtremeTerrain.com.

Mirror relocation kit
I totally dig the mirrors, I take my door off all the time. I don’t have to worry about not being able to see traffic behind me. Great product!Helpful (0)

I had no problem relocating the mirrors. Everything fit nice and tight. Had to knock a star off appearance because, in less than 2 weeks, the bolt for the extension on the passenger side has started to rust.Helpful (2)

Better than the ones that whistle and I'm legal.
You do lose a little visabilty on the passenger side. Mine is is extended to second extension setting. I got better visablity on both sides by turning the whole housing in just a bit. You'll have to play around with it. You will need to get a longer bolt to fasten mirror to arm. I used one of the orginal bolts that held the orginal arm to the door and just got an extra bolt for the delete plate. Biggest complaint, and it's minor, is that with the passenger side extended at all, the profile is not symmetrical. Should be adjustable length on both sides.Helpful (2)

Not for power/heated mirror
I guess I didn’t read the reviews and/or specs, but I didn’t see where it said it’s not compatible with power/heated mirrors. B/c I didn’t want cut the power cord to my original mirrors. So....I just sent them back.Helpful (3)

UPDATE FROM EARLIER REVIEW
Stay away from Barricade, there are no replacement parts, if something happens you're stuck with buying a complete new set.Helpful (3)

Exactly what they're supposed to be
They look great and definitely get the job done with a much superior mirror system for no-doors. Only problem was the stock mirror didnt really fit into the bracket so we had to sand down the inside of bracket and outside of mirror to get it to sit down in the fitment.Helpful (3)

Easy and quick to install! Looks excellent. The hardest part was getting the old mirror out of the original arm. You may have to loosen the bolt till it comes out far enough to tap it with a rubber mallet to break it from the seat.Helpful (3)

Mr. Moves a lot
The passenger mirror moves a lot when driving. I had to put in on the last hole in order to see through it and that caused it to be loose. They both move fairly easily, I was hoping they would be a little more sturdier than they were.Helpful (4)

Does the mirror relocation kit work with power mirrors? I bought the kit, and dont see how it will work with them on a 2016 Rubicon,
The Barricade Mirror Relocation Kit - Textured Black (07-17 Wrangler JK) is not designed to retain use of heated or electric mirrors.
After installing this is there any problem opening the door? Will the door bump into the mirror in the mirror's new location? Thank you.
The Barricade Textured Black Mirror Relocation Kit is designed so the door will not bump into the mirror as long as the door straps are attached to the door.
My 07 mirrors will not fit it the relocation bracket. Only go about 1/2 way in. Both sides have same problem. The bracket hole is either too small or the 07 mirrors are bigger than other years. I thought I might be able to screw it down but the bolt is not long enough to reach due to mirror not seating all of the way. Any hints?
Hi,I'm sorry to hear you are having problems with your Relocation Brackets, please call or send us an email and we can help you out with your problem. http://www.extremeterrain.com/contact.html
Will these fit the rubicon model?
This would fit on a Rubicon.
Is there an adjustable bracket for the drivers side ?
Currently, there is not an adjustable driver side bracket.
I would suggest contacting our customer service team, as this could be a defect in that mirror. We are here every weekday from 8:30 AM until 11 PM, and weekends until 9 PM Eastern Time.
They would need to share bolts, which is not something that we have attempted, and you may need to locate longer bolts to hold them both on, since they share mounting points. Having said that, I do not see why you couldn't do that.
You will need to source longer screws to stack this on top of the bracket.
Currently we do not offer any type of tow mirror kit for the JK model Wranglers. I will make the suggestion to our product team!
The Barricade Textured Black Mirror Relocation Kit - Pair (07-18 Jeep Wrangler JK) is compatible with the original equipment factory mirrors and aftermarket mirrors made to those specifications. OPR replacement mirrors will be compatible with these brackets. Please note power or heated mirrors are not compatible.
The filler plates will be just about 4 inches in diameter.
The Barricade Black Mirror Relocation Kit - Pair (07-17 Wrangler JK) only comes with a passenger side extension bracket, unfortunately a driver side extension would not be a available.
When installing the Barricade Mirror Relocation Kit you should not run into any vibration issues. A rubber insulator may reduce the amount of vibration you are experiencing, however if you contact our Customer Service Department, we can determine what is causing this to come up with a more specific fix.
Hello! I am really sorry to hear that you are having an issue with this product, please give us a call or shoot us an email at your earliest convenience and we would be more than happy to get this fixed for you! http://www.extremeterrain.com/contact.html
Unfortunately any time you are relocating your mirrors to the body of your Jeep you will loose all power functions (i.e: window controls, heating, etc.)
