      Video Review & Installation

I'm Ryan from and this is my review of the Barricade Front Tubular Bumper fitting all 2007 to 2016 Wranglers. This is available with our without the winch cutout, and in gloss black and textured black powder coating. These bumpers are for those of you who like that old school tubular bumper look and don't have the need for the additional protection or features offered from a plate steel, heavy duty off road bumper. Of course, these are going to be less expensive than some of those bumpers that offer more features and protection, but even amongst other tubular bumpers, these Barricade bumpers are really reasonably priced. This bumper is built from a three-inch tubular stainless steel, which means that even if you get a chip or a scratch in the powder coat, the stainless is going to help resist against corrosion and rust. You have your choice of either the gloss black powder coat that you see here or a textured black powder coat finish. I personally like the textured black finish because I think it matches the black plastic accents on the factory Jeep pretty well. Another decision to make when choosing one of these bumpers is whether you want it with our without this winch cutout. Even if you choose the bumper with the winch cutout, you're still going to need to get a winch plate with a fairlead mount in order to get a winch mounted on the Jeep. This bumper will give you clearance for a winch, but it does not provide a built-in winch plate. The bumper also doesn't provide any recovery points, any light mounts for either the factory fog lights or auxiliary light mount tabs, and it's not going to provide a lot of protection against off road obstacles. Getting this bumper installed on your Jeep is really easy and it's designed to be completely bolt on with the hardware and brackets that are included. The first step in the installation is to remove the splash shield from your Jeep, if you're still running one, and that will not be reinstalled with your new bumper. The next step is to remove your factory bumper by removing the eight nuts that are holding it into place. Once you have the factory bumper off, you can install the brackets that are included in your kit. This is another example of how this bumper is more of a styling mod than a functional one. Your new bumper uses four out of the eight mounting locations of the factory bumper. Once you have the brackets installed, you can slide the new bumper over the new brackets, which can be a little bit of a tight fit, and install the final four bolts holding the bumper to the new bracket. The whole installation should take about two hours, and you won't need any specialty tools, just some hand tools. However, having an extension and a universal handy is nice for getting rid of some of those factory nuts, because some can be tough to get to. If I base my assessment of the cost of this bumper on the quality of the build, I would say it's completely worth it. When you take a look at this bumper, the welds are nice, the finish is really high quality, and everything you need to get it installed on the Jeep is included in the box. So, if you don't have the need for the additional features and protection offered from a more expensive heavy duty off road bumper, and you like the old school look of a tubular bumper, I think this is a nice option. The build quality is there, the quality of the finish is there, and it includes everything you need to get it installed on your Jeep in an easy afternoon. So, that's my review of Barricade Front Tubular Bumper fitting all 2007 to 2016 JKs that you can find right here at
