We at ExtremeTerrain feature Auburn Gear’s Performance, Pro, and Ected Max series differentials. The Performance series units are a mild upgrade from stock while the Pro series features faster sensing with a higher bias ratio. Both of these feature a unique cone-clutch design for quick acceleration and superb in corner handling. Auburn Gear’s history begins in 1938 as a division of Borg Warner under the name of Warner Gear. Warner Gear was bought in 1982, and manufacturers their products in the U.S. Auburn Gear’s team of application engineers and customer engineers collaborate to follow market trends and produce the best, and most practical, products for their customers.
Auburn Gear’s facility houses development, gear, and metallurgy labs as well as gear cutting, spline rolling, heat treatment, shot peening, and finish grinding machines. Research, development, and production are conducted in house. Auburn Gear tests their differentials at the drafting level and after it’s built. The computer drafted models are tested with Finite Element Analysis (FEA). The finished unit is then tested on axle dynameters and on and off the road. All products are built upon ordering.
The Ected Max is the best off-road, on-road differential from Auburn Gear. You can take your Jeep anywhere with this unit. These units are constructed from aircraft grade billet steel for extreme toughness. This differential switches your Jeep to 4WD at the flip of a switch, and it’s available for front axels as well. Both quiet and versatile, this differential is the only two-in-one unit for your Jeep.
