Premium Steering Upgrade. The Apex Chassis 2.5-Ton Steering Kit without Flip Kit for 0 to 3.50-Inch Lift; Polished Aluminum is a complete replacement steering system designed to enhance the steering precision and durability of your Jeep Wrangler JK. This kit replaces the factory tie rod and drag link components with high-strength, forged steel and polished aluminum parts to provide superior strength and longevity. It is ideal for use with stock or mildly lifted JKs to improve steering response and reliability in demanding on and off-road environments.
Construction and Appearance. Crafted from SAE 1045 solid forged steel for the housing and SAE 4140 chromoly for the ball studs, this system combines CNC machining for perfect dimensional accuracy with induction heat treatment for hardened surfaces. The tie rod and drag link adjusting sleeves are beautifully polished aluminum with a clear finish, while the forged steel ends feature a durable black e-coat finish. Heavy-duty CR rubber accordion boots protect the components from dirt and damage, ensuring long service life under harsh conditions.
Installation. Installation is moderately straightforward for those with mechanical experience. The kit uses a standard under knuckle mount setup with no requirement for flipping the drag link. However, if upgrading to a flip kit, drilling the knuckle drag link mount with a straight 7/8" drill bit is necessary for taper sleeve installation. Professional tools and mechanical knowledge are recommended for proper fitment and safety.
Warranty. This steering kit carries a lifetime warranty against premature wear or manufacturer defects, provided the product is registered within 90 days of purchase and installed correctly in the specified vehicle application.
Application. Specifically engineered to fit the front steering system of 2007-2018 Jeep Wrangler JK models equipped with stock Dana 30/44 axles and lifts up to 3.5 inches without requiring a flip kit. Compatibility with Dana 60 axles or more extensive modifications requires consultation with the manufacturer.
