    Description

    Stronger and Beefier. Your JK Rubicon's stock axle shafts are better suited for driving on paved roads as they are prone to bend or snap when extreme off-roading with larger diameter tires installed. It is for this reason that Teraflex manufactures their Tera44/Dana Rubicon Wide Front Axle Shaft Kit to handle the added load of big knobby all-terrain tires. Stronger than stock, these Axles feature beefed up, heavy duty Rubicon U-Joints to manage the extra abuse associated with serious off-roading.

    4340 Chromoly Construction. These Teraflex Tera44/Dana Rubicon Wide Front Axle Shafts are constructed from high-strength 4340 chromoly steel that has been dual-heat treated and profiled for optimal strength. Other features include rolled splines and compatibility with the larger Dana 1350-series U-joint.

    Installation. With an installation time of about 5 hours it is highly recommend to replace the inner seal when removing an axle shaft. As it makes sense to change both sides and both seals at the same time. This install time includes installing both the driver and passenger side axle shafts, inner seals, removal of differential, adding oil, and axle reassembly.
