Construction. This kit is made from cast A356.2 T6 aluminum as the main component, which ensures the carrier is both as light and strong and possible. The finish and fit are designed to follow the flow and contour of your Jeep body, while offering extra mounting points for off-road accessories like recovery jacks and fluid containers. The factory Jeep tub offers incredible internal gussets and bracing that have no problem supporting the new tire carrier and oversized tires. The HD hinge brackets are created from forged steel and the HD 5/8 inch hinge pins are made from cold formed high-carbon hardened steel. The combination of the location at which it's mounted, plus the HD mounting rackets, means you get one of the strongest, rattle-free carriers on the market.
