Stronger and Beefier. It is no secret that the Dana 30 front differential is really a light duty design better suited to city driving as opposed to four-wheeling. This is especially evident when running a big tire, as anything 33" and over will make quick work of the stock axles if taken off-road. Ten Factory takes care of this problem with their performance front axle set fitting 2007-2018 JK Wranglers (except Rubicon editions). These axles are much stronger than stock and are sufficiently beefed up with heavy duty U-joints to handle the added load of big knobby all-terrain tires. Measuring 18.75" on the left side and 34.45" on the right, the Ten Factory front axles are a direct replacement for the original Dana 30 shafts.

4340 Chromoly Construction. These Dana 30 front axles are forged from 4340 chromoly alloy, which is harder and lighter than traditional steel. A weak point on the factory axles has always been the u-joint and Ten Factory has taken care of this problem by using a heavy duty Spicer 5-760X unit instead.

Moderate Skill Required. Upgrading the front axle shafts on your 2007-2018 JK Wrangler can be done at home for the mechanically inclined. Some specialty tools such as a 12-point socket set and axle nut socket will be needed. Figure 2-3 hours to complete both sides if this is your first time.
