Description
Improved Steering Control. Experience enhanced off-road performance by upgrading your TJ’s factory steering to the Steinjager Textured Black Crossover Steering Kit. This steering kit improves the steering geometry of your lifted Jeep for reinforced handling and better stability, especially when your vehicle tackles challenging terrains. This system also works perfectly well with or without the factory sway bar. In addition, it comes in a bold, textured black finish that adds an appealingly aggressive look to your TJ’s overall off-road stance.
Off-Road Durability. Built for your Jeep’s off-roading demands, this Crossover Steering Kit is composed of a bent drag link bar and a reinforced tie rod with 2 bends, all crafted from a heavy-duty, 1.50-inch tube with .25-inch wall thickness. This construction exhibits high structural integrity and excellent corrosion resistance to provide long-lasting utility to your TJ. It also comes with .75-inch chrome moly rod ends for durable anchoring support for high-stress steering and improved cross-sectional thickness for higher tensile strength. Moreover, the textured black powder coating provides an extra layer of shield against corrosion, abrasion, and chipping.
Simple Installation With Drilling. This Crossover Steering Kit requires that the Pitman arm and spindles be drilled out to .625-inch. The drag link installs by attaching to the Pitman arm and to the passenger spindle, while the tie rod connects to the spindles on both sides. The installation process completes with moderate mechanical skills needed. Re-alignment is highly recommended after installation.
Limited Warranty. Steinjager backs this Crossover Steering Kit with a limited warranty against factory defects in materials and workmanship for a period of 1 year from the date of purchase. Some exclusions may apply. Please see the terms and conditions for full details.
Application. The Steinjager Textured Black Crossover Steering Kit is intended for use on all 1997-2006 Jeep Wrangler TJ models that is lifted between 0-4 inches.
Note. It is recommended that you either have 4-inch or less backspacing and a minimum 16-inch rim. Factory 15-inch rims may rub the heim joints.
