Steer Smarts YETI XD Drag Link for High-Steer Knuckles; Top Mount (07-18 Jeep Wrangler JK)

The Most Durable JK Linkage. They named it Extreme for a reason. Steer Smarts applied their 85 years of steering component expertise to create this—the strongest and most durable draglink ever created for Jeep Wranglers. This one is specifically designed for the models that have the Reid Knuckles installed or have had the knuckle drilled out with the split bushing installed that accepts a standard stud. (Note that this kit does not include the bushing that was required for the drilled knuckle.) The draglink then bolts to your Reid knuckle or to the modified knuckle that has the split bushing installed and pitman arm holes.

Smart Design. The draglink has been designed to provide good clearance to other chassis components, so you don't need to worry about interference there. The unit also features Reverse Pin technology, which keeps the linkage from rocking or flopping the way your stock unit does in those extreme off-roading conditions. This technology is cleverly incorporated right into the socket, making it much stronger and more reliable than the competitor's external add-on controls.

High-Strength Materials. Street Smarts used the best of the best for this draglink. The ball joints are 30mm—the largest in any similar draglink—and they're made from cold-headed, heat-treated medium carbon alloy. The rod ends are forged from medium carbon steel and then heat treated for even more defense against buckling, fatigue, and impact. And the adjuster is strong, too, made from high-quality 1/4"-thick wall 4130 DOM steel tubing. Finally, epoxy coating provides a final layer of strength as well as resistance to corrosion and impact.

Application. This tie rod assembly from Steer Smarts fits all left-hand drive JK Wrangler models 2007-2018 with a properly modified OE knuckle with standard stud taper bushing. Note: Wheels must be a minimum of 16" diameter with a maximum 4.5" back spacing to use this draglink. The split bushing for the drilled knuckle hole is not included. The assembly will not fit knuckles with GM 1-ton taper.
