How to Install SportRack Pathway Spare Tire Deluxe 3 Bike Carrier (87-18 Wrangler YJ, TJ, JK & JL) on your Jeep Wrangler

1. Carefully open the package using a box cutter or knife (Figure A) and ensure the hardware is included and undamaged. 

2. Remove the mounting tube from the spare tire mounting mechanism by unscrewing the screw-in knob.

3. Unscrew the three lug nuts on the spare tire using a 19mm socket wrench (Figure B).

4. Remove the spare tire (Figure C).

5. Place the spare tire mounting mechanism onto the spare tire mount (Figure D).

6. Return the spare tire (Figure E).

7. Tighten the three lug nuts back into place using a 19mm socket wrench (Figure F).

8. Reinstall the mounting tube onto the spare tire mounting mechanism by screwing the screw-in knob back on (Figure G).

9. Connect the attached strap around the spare tire mount (Figure H).

10. Unscrew the screw-in knob on top of the bike mount (Figure I) and remove the top plate and caps

11. Using a 15mm socket wrench, loosen the bolts and slide the mount so that each is at least 6" apart from each center (Figure J). Tighten down bolts.

12. Place bike on mount and return the plates removed in Step 9 (Figure K). Tighten down bolts.
