Construction. The black denim Smittybilt security floor console is made of 16 gauge heavy duty steel covered in durable, scratch-resistant powder coated paint. The console is topped by a color matching arm rest at the proper height for most people to use comfortably.

Specs. The Smittybilt security floor console measures 12 inches tall by 9 inches wide by 22 inches long, and fits into the space between the front seats of 1976-1995 Jeep CJ5, CJ7 and Wrangler YJ Models. The lockable security compartment provides ample storage space for valuables; keys are included. 2 cup holders at the front of the console are adjustable to hold various sizes of drinks conveniently, eliminating the risk of spills. The console is available in 3 colors, Black Denim, Gray Denim, and Spice Denim (brown).

Application. The console is bolted to the Wrangler's floor, requiring 3 3/8 inch holes to be drilled through the floorboards. Positioning is achieved by marking through the holes with chalk. The large bolts used to fasten the console down should not be tightened too much as this can harm the vehicle's floor. The console is placed just behind the shift lever and fitment should be checked so both the lever and cup holders will work without interfering with each others' function. Included lock washers and nuts are also used in application of this console.
