Will this mirror fit in the existing door hinge when the doors are removed or do you have to install and use the bracket provided? I want to remove the doors but not install a special bracket. I just want to use the mirror with the original door hinge when the door is removed.

        • This mirror is not able to be installed in the door hinge as it only comes with a mounting bracket for the side of the windshield frame. We do offer the Barricade Adventure Mirrors (J107638) that will install in the upper door hinge.  Here is the link to the mirror:

            Look is great but...

I have had the round quick release rugged ridge mirrors for over a year. Those were great, only complaint was the size. I personally liked the idea of a square or rectangle mirror instead. I also like that these were stubby and stayed closer to the body of the Jeep. I put them on today and noticed the “mirrors” were a bit wavy, almost plastic like. Thought, “I can live with it”. Then I drove with them. Driving from 0 and up these vibrate so badly it feels like you’ve had 5 drinks too many on a roller coaster. It’s unfortunate that they couldn’t put together a better mirror finish. They were tightened down and installed properly. No play in any of the joints. I’m going to put the round ones back on while using the stubby bars. They look great but objects may make you sick if you look in these mirrors.

            Pay attention

Didn't realise that the pictures of the mirrors we're on a newer jeep. The spot that the mirrors mount to is lower than the pictures. I'm not a very big fan of where they mount. The mirrors themselves seen like they need a better way of not folding in from wind. If your planning on only using them only as trail mirrors they would be great for you.

            Way too low

On the TJ they do not attached to the bolts shown in the picture. They attach much lower than that. Which makes it a little difficult to use. Really not a fan but I am going to drive around with them on for a while and see if it's too annoying to keep.

            does the job

its great and meets the intent at a minimal level. just keep in mind if youre putting these on with the doors off, it might be inclined to fold inwards if you reach highway speeds (offroad trail product)

Good Mirror, but there are Some Tradeoffs

I like the mirrors, no doubt, but noted two issues: 1. The stubby design looks good and works great from the driver side. The passenger side is a little tough to see when I have my soft doors installed. (The long arm mirror would probably be more visible, but I prefer the short design) 2. I'm not crazy about the clamp when installed. It takes a lot of pressure and doesn't engage the top arm of the bracket, only the lower. But it does work OK. So overall good, but not a home run, and so many of the products I've bought here have been great!

            It will do the job....

For the purposes of complying with regulations, it will do the job. Mounting is simple, but attaching the mirror arm to the QD bracket needs quite a bit of effort. Torquing down the QD bolt by hand will still give you significant vibrations at highway speeds, but you can still make out the vehicles through them.

This little piggie’s mirrors must be made of straw

These mirrors DO NOT tighten enough to hold in place at even 35 mph. Find yourself a better product. Wish someone would have left an honest review. Don’t buy this.
