I'm Ryan from extremeterrain.com and this is my review of the Rugged Ridge Dash Multi-Mount, fitting all 1997 to 2006 TJs. This is available with and without the cell phone mount. This is for those of you who use your cell phone as GPS, or just want to have it close to your line of sight, or those of you that have any other electronic devices that you're looking for a secure mount that puts the device right up on the dashboard where it's easy to see and get to. This is an inexpensive and secure mount for all electronic devices that use a standard ball mount. This multi-mount is made of a high-quality and high-strength plastic that's molded to fit your dash perfectly. As I said before, the mount comes with a universal ball mount, and you can get it with or without Rugged Ridge's cell phone holder. If you get it without their cell phone holder, you can use any other universal ball mount to attach your cell phone or any other electronic devices right onto the mount.Even though this does mount in your factory storage tray, it still provides you with three different sections of storage for small items right up on the dash. This is designed to mount really securely with both 3M tape and three self-tapping screws so, no matter what electronic device you put on the mount, you know it's going to stay put. This multi-mount will install in your jeep pretty easily with the included 3M tape and self-tapping screws.Any time you're using 3M tape for installation, you'll want to make sure that all the surfaces are really clean. So, I would recommend using an alcohol prep pad or something similar to clean both the dash and the mount before installing the tape. Once that's done, you can put the 3M tape onto the mount and press it securely onto your dashboard. If you do have a liner on the factory tray, you will want to remove that before installing this part. After the 3M tape is pressed down, you'll use the three self-tapping screws that are included in the kit to secure the mount even further onto the dashboard. That way, no matter what you put on this mount, you know it's not going to move around. The whole installation should take about 30 minutes or less, and you won't need any specialty tools, just a screwdriver or a drill with a Phillips-head screw tip.I think this mount is priced pretty fairly for what you get. It's really well-built, it fits really well, and almost blends into the interior seamlessly, and you can mount any device on it you want because it has that universal ball mount. There are a lot of other options for mounts that put a device in the same area as this one, and it's an area that makes it really easy to both reach and see your electronic devices. So, I think this is a pretty good buy.So, whether you use your cell phone in your TJ for GPS or for music, or you have another electronic device, like a trail cam or a dash cam, that you want to keep held securely in place, this is an inexpensive and well-built mount that will do the trick. So, that's my review of the Rugged Ridge Dash Multi-Mount, fitting all 1997 to 2006 TJs, that you can find right here at extremeterrain.com.
