    I'm Ryan from, and this is my review of the Rough Country Forged Front Adjustable Track Bar fitting all 2007 to 2016 JKs with two and a half to six inches of lift. There are a couple of different reasons to upgrade your factory track bar to an aftermarket adjustable one. And one of those is the adjustability. Any time you lift your Jeep, your axle is going to be off-center a little bit. And you'll notice that when you turn the wheels lock to lock, they might rub a little bit on the frame of the control arm when you turn them in one direction but not in the other direction. Or you can just visually look at the Jeep and see that the axle has shifted a bit. So an adjustable track bar will allow you to completely re-center the axle.Another reason you might want to upgrade to a stronger track bar, like this forged one, is that in an off-road situation with big tires, you may have already bent your factory track bar. Or you're looking to upgrade to ensure that that isn't a weak point in your suspension system. Finally, when you have big tires and you're driving down the road, hitting bumps in the road, you may have your factory track bar flexing a little bit, which can cause some feedback through the steering wheel and feel a little bit like a wobble. A much stronger forged track bar like this will eliminate that issue completely. The Rough Country Track Bar is much less expensive than some of the other track bars on the market, and it'll fix all of those issues.Like it says right in the name, this is a forged steel track bar, and it's gonna be really strong. It's an inch and a quarter outer diameter, and the thing weighs in at about 16 pounds. Again, this is gonna be really beefy. The adjustment is done through this adjustment sleeve, and this is what's known as double adjustable. So you can install both ends on the Jeep and just turn the sleeve to lengthen or shorten the bar to center your axle. That makes adjusting the bar much easier than ones that are single adjustable, which would require you to disconnect one end of the bar or the other and rotate the entire bar to make that adjustment.Once you have everything adjusted properly and the axle is centered, everything's held in place with these two clamps, so nothing's going to move around, whether on road or off. The track bar has this factory-style bend in it, so it's gonna clear the pumpkin or front differential all the way through the suspension travel. This track bar has Clevite brand rubber bushings on both ends, which are similar to your factory bushings, so they're gonna hold up really well over time.Overall, I'd say this track bar is really well-built. And in my opinion, it's similarly built to some of the track bars on the market that are almost double the cost of this one. Now, I know the reputation that Rough Country has, or at least had, for building products that didn't always hold up as well as they should have over time. Well, recently, Rough Country has made big strides in turning around their quality of their products. And I have to say this thing is really well-built. And the nice thing is that Rough Country does back this up with a lifetime warranty. So if anything were to go wrong, they're gonna replace it for you without questions.Getting this adjustable track bar mounted on your Jeep is pretty simple. In fact, there are only two bolts. Unfortunately, to remove your factory bolts, you'll have to unload the suspension, which does require a little bit of work. First, you'll have to support the Jeep from the frame and remove your lower shock bolts, remove your sway bar bolts, and possibly your brake line brackets. That'll allow you to sag the front axle down and remove the springs.Once the springs are removed and the axle is unloaded, you'll be able to remove the two bolts holding your factory track bar in place and install your new one. From there, you'll put the Jeep back together and put it under its own weight on its tires, then make the adjustments to center the axle completely. The whole process should take right around two hours using regular hand tools. But if you have access to air tools or impact tools, it'll definitely speed the process along.So if you're looking for a really strong adjustable track bar so that you can either re-center your axle or you're looking for something that will not flex or bend on-road or off-road, this is a really solid front adjustable track bar that'll save you some money over the top brands on the market.         Do you have to have a alignment done after install

        • An Alignment is not necessary with the Rough Country Forged Rear Adjustable Track Bar, as you can simply use a tape measure to adjust the axle's center location.

        What is a good starter length for a 3.5 lift

        • We recommend adjusting the Rough Country Forged Rear Adjustable Track Bar to the middle of its adjustment range and lengthening/shortening the bar from there to get to where you need.

        I have 2015 jk with a 2.5 rubicon express lift and there rear relocation bracket. Will this bar fit my needs or would I have to remove the relocation bracket?

            Great replacement for lifted jeeps

            If you have a lifted Jeep with the lowering bracket for the track bar, replace it as soon as you can with this you will feel a difference!

            RC Rear Adjustable Tack Bar

            Installed front and rear RC track bars fairly quickly and easily. Fixed my 1.5" axle offset as well as provided a far beefier suspension component versus factory for a reasonable price. Definitely advise upgrading track bar/ control arm bolts while you're down there. Thanks Extreme Terrain!

            Great addition

            Will say hearing all the bad press Rough Country gets this track bar is awesome! Much heavier and beefier then stock. Great addition to the Rubicon Express lift kit. If in the market for a track bar and on a budget get this one. Easy to put on and adjust to the right species. Would totally buy again and if anyone ask this product is perfect.

            Read my review

            It's trackbar It's trackbar, it's heavy, it's steel! Works as advertised. It's beefier than the stock unit and allows for adjustment with the 4" lift I have. Two bolts and it's installed. Getting the bolts to 125lbs takes some doing as it's not exactly easy for a out of shape guy like me to generate that much force in such a confined space while laying on my back. But the product itself is well made and not made of unobtainium like some of the way more expensive options are.

            Easy install and adjustment.

            The install took less than half an hour, I secured the rear axel with ratchet straps on both sides, unbolted the stock track bar and installed in reverse order. The adjustment is then a matter of adjusting, measuring etc...

            Needs a little improvement

            The track bar seemes very heavy made and strong. The only thing I think they should improve on is the collar that is used for adjusting. It’s very thin. I put a caliper on it to see. It was a little less than 1/8” thick but also has threads cut in it. So it’s really thinner than that as I was measuring from the tops of the threads. Seems like a very weak piece to put into a very heavy made part. Went on super easy. I did have to come out from under Jeep a couple times. Seemed like every nut was a different size. That was a little aggravating. If the collar would have been 1/4” or more thicker I would give 5 stars.

            Couldn’t adjust enough

            Love the track bar. Way bigger and better built than the oem track bar. Installed very easy in less than 5 minutes. I can already tell a huge difference in ride quality. My only issues is it’s seems that I’ve adjusted as far as it’ll go but it wasn’t enough to center the axel.

            Very heavy duty!

            Excellent quality product except for the washers. They collapsed on my drive home from the shop causing my drive shaft to shift. Replaced the washers and recentered the axle, I'm very happy. It's worth the money and an extra dollar for heavy duty washers.

            Front and rear track bars did the trick

            I recently did a Rubicon Express 2.5” lift on my 2017 JK Rubicon Unlimited which came with the rear adapter bracket to reuse the OEM track bars. I knew it would throw the diffs off center a bit but I didn’t know how much it would effect the handling. It was pretty squirrelly. After a lot of research and price matching, I decided on the Rough Country adjustable bars. Put them both on in about an hour and it made an incredible difference. I dialed them in to about 1/32” side to side and it handles and tracks better than ever. The instructions were wrong about the size wrenches you need and there were no torque specs on them, but a quick call to Rough Country and they said 125# for the main bolts and 26# for the cinch bolts. Great quality, solid bars, very heavy duty and a lot cheaper than Teriflex. I highly recommend them and Extreme Terrain had them to me in 2 Days.
