Smooth Drive. Do you enjoy going off-road and exploring rocky, bouncy areas? You'll greatly reduce the wear on your tires, tie rods, shocks, and the rest of your suspension by installing this steering stabilizer. The chrome-hardened rod is designed to fit lifted Jeep Wrangler JK models with at least a two-inch lift. Bump steer and vibration decrease immediately, rewarding you with a smoother ride, better handling, and longer tire life.

Relocate for Safety. On the Wrangler JK and many other vehicles, the stock stabilizers are located behind the axle tube where high rocks and other obstacles can hang on them. Relocating the stabilizers is a quick way to prevent bent or broken parts, and the powder-coated steel bracket included in this kit moves the part behind the steering link for greater protection. The bracket is a direct fit for the stabilizer included in the set, but it also works with the original factory stabilizers on the matching Jeep models.

Quick Installation. You won't spend all day trying to get these aftermarket suspension parts on. With a few basic tools, you'll be done with the bolt-on installation in one to two hours. All the hardware is included from tough U-bolts to properly angled mounting brackets.

Application. This Rough Country Steering Stabilizer with Relocation Bracket fits all 2007-2018 Jeep Wrangler JK models.

    Ask a Question

Will this product fit on a RHD Wrangler?

    BennN

    • We have not tested the Rough Country Steering Stabilizer with Relocation Bracket on RHD models to confirm fitment. I would recommend consulting with Rough country directly to see if this will work with your application, or if another part number may be more suitable.

Other than the bracket that moves stabilizer, is there any difference in the shock compared to the teraflex 9550?

    DaleR

    • The teraflex 9550 Steering Stabilizer (Item J15272, found here: https://www.extremeterrain.com/teraflex-steering-jk-tj-yj-1513001.html) will feature an integrated dust shield protects the shock rod from high impact salt and sand damage. Both the Rough Country Steering Stabilizer w/ Relocation Bracket and Teraflex steering stabilizers are great upgrades pending your application!

Since you are changing where the track bar is mounted, would a front end alignment be prudent?

    DaleR

    • A front end alignment is not required when installing the Rough Country Steering Stabilizer, however it is always a good idea to check your alignment when working with the front suspension.

Would this fit the teraflex tie rod?

    IsaacG

    • The Rough Country Steering Stabilizer would be compatible with the Teraflex HD Tie Rod Kit.

      Solid Steering

I installed the Rough Country Steering Stabilizer in around 45 minutes. The install was very easy, and the results did NOT disappoint. Before installing, I had a significant amount of movement and unpredictability in my Jeep drive. Afterwards, I could instantly tell a difference in the control I had. The front was NOT as loose and the steering wheel was tighter. Great results and would highly recommend.

      Great Stabilizer!

Great steering stabilizer for the price, I have a 2.5" RC lift, easy install only took about 45 minutes, got a little tight when trying to put the stabilizing bolt into the new bracket due to the sway bar but overall great product!

      good replacement/upgrade

Stock stabilizer was shot. This was a good replacement. It is up out of the way and less likely to get hit than the original part. It has calmed down the bumps felt through the steering wheel. There is not much space between it and the drag link so I worry they might rub. I think adding the lift I plan will increase the space and prevent rubbing.

      Rust

After six months, the unit is completely rusted. At this point it's cosmetic but, I'm sure it will fail soon. Disappointed in the quality.

      Simple bolt on.

I used this as a replacement for my factory steering stabilizer. Looks good and I feel it dampens better that the stock JK stabilizer.

Up and out of the way

For the price, you can't beat this. Both a new shock, and the relocation bracket to keep it up and out of harms way. Drives great!
