        2 2006 Wrangler - JohnG

        Not what we thought

I should have researched it more. It’s 2”front but only 1.75” rear. I sent it back before installing. I don’t need a leveling kit with a 35” tire hanging off the back.

Great quality, but read the fine print...

I think the quality is excellent, but did not realize until I went to install this kit, that the back spacers only raise the jeep up 1-1/4 inches. I really wanted 2 inches all the way around. Just something to look for when choosing the lift that's right for you.

Do you get a full 2" of lift in the front AND the rear? I read somewhere that you actually only get 1 1/4" of lift in the rear. Please help clear this up for me.

      • The Rough Country 2 in. Suspension Lift Kit w/o Shocks includes a 2" spacer in the front and a 1 1/4" spacer in the rear. The rear will be lifted less height than the front to get the factory rake out of the vehicle and give a more level stance.

Can you use your factory shocks with this kit?

      • This kit is designed to be used with factory shocks or you can upgrade the shocks with a shock that is meant for 0-2" of lift.

Which shocks need to be relocated and why? I just installed new Bilstein 5100's for 0"-2" lifts in anticipation of doing a 2" lift. Also someone mentioned that the rear spacers are smaller that the front, I haven't measured but I am assuming that I am at a different height in the rear, correct? Thanks, Rick

      • The Rough Country 2 in. Suspension Lift Kit will relocate the rear shocks. The spacers will be different sizes to lift the Jeep but also level out the ride height.
