            Rough country lift

Nice lift, to me was straight forward with the directions for install. Makes the Jeep look way better. Took me a couple days by myself in the garage, but cleaning frame and painting was involved as well.

            Awesome

I had my mechanic put this on, he was very pleased and excited to do this project. Said it to be the best and most rugged lift he has done! Driving on it is amazing... comfortable ride on road, can’t wait to get it off road.

Not too bad of an install, looks great and rides smooth, nice overall upgrade.

            rough country 2.5 x-series lift

like the other reviews the instructions were not so good. be aware you don't get the X adjustable control arms as pictured just a standard swivel bushings. when I received the kit and started the install, the upper flex arms had a 1/2 bushings instead of 3/8 called RC they sent me new threaded ends fed x. pictures are not clear. the rear springs do not identify which way is up and seem symmetrical (their not). after install upon full rear axle extension the lower spring pad hits the shock and puts a dent in the tube, had to buy 2 new shocks, called RC they said the dimensions provided in the instructions were guidelines and you have to adjust the arms to adjust angle of rear axle(wish they would say something on the instructions). consider buying a drop pitman arm, and a t-case drop to eliminate vibration. need an external spring compressor for the front springs. unable to install the rear flexible brake line to control arm, not enough slack I cut the bracket and used the attach plate/nut for the e-brake cable. The kit looks great and feels great after taking care of slight vibrations.

            Great product!

Great product overall, only thing keeping me From rating it 5 star is the lack of hardware and horrible instructions. I would gladly pay additional charges for the much needed replacement hardware. Any older jeeps with crusty old hardware only extends the install time and frustrates most do it yourself customer's.

            Good product, inadequate instructions

Kit delivered in multiple boxes, instruction sheets were provided in each box for each major suspension component, but a consolidated instruction outlining order of installation was not included. After starting installation I had a number of questions, checking the Rough Country website I found a the full kit instructions! The online instructions do differ somewhat from the individual component installations. I called Rough Country for clarification and they were very helpful answering my questions. This is my first lift kit install. It took me about 4 days to install, working alone in my garage. With experience and some help this installation would probably be about 2 days, less if you have access to a lift.
