Note: Remove any tow hitches that are already on your jeep.

1. Using the ratchet and the 19mm socket remove these 2 bolts from each side of your rear bumper. 4 bolts in total.

2. Using the 19mm socket and ratchet, remove the 2 bolts (1 on each side) holding the top of your bumper on.

3. Pull off your rear bumper from the frame. At this point, if you have a tow hitch, remove it using the same 19mm socket and ratchet.

4. Place the supplied brackets into the rear frame openings as a mounting point for the new bumper.

5. (An extra pair of hands here will help) Lift bumper into place and using the supplied bolts and washers from DV8 begin all 4 bolts to hold the bumper in place using the 16mm socket and ratchet.

6. Using the second pair of hands or your body weight make sure the bumper is pushed all the way up and into place then start tightening all 4 supplied bolts using the 16mm socket and ratchet.

7. The kit comes with a spacer that may or may not be needed, here is an example of where it would go in between the bumper and frame where a OEM tow hitch would go. Some need it, others do not. The supplied hardware comes with the bumper.
