I have a light bar mounted with some brackets on the A-frame I believe and it’s using up one of the bolts that I noticed in the pictures, will it still be compatible?

        • This kit can be installed along with light bar mount, though a longer bolt might be required for a tight secure installation.

Are you still able to open the doors fully without hitting the jack and/or jack mount?

        • With the door straps installed on your doors, you should not hit your doors on the BOLT J-Mount or jack. If you have removed your door straps or aftermarket ones, the doors may hit.

Are you sure this will fit a JL? The JL only has one bolt on the cowling, the pictures all show two here. Doesn't seem like it's meant for JL.

        • Upon reaching out directly to the manufacturer this will not fit with the new JL models. I have submitted site feedback to have this listing corrected and apologize for the listing information being incorrect.

            Well Worth Jack Mount

I really like this high lift trail jack drive side mount. Easy install and the driver door doesn't hit the jack as long as the door limiting strap is still attached. When the jack is secured to the mount I barley see it when driving. Do I think the this mount is a bit pricey? Yes, but I think its worth having this mount over the hood mount, and being able to lock it with the factory key is a major plus. Personally I see the hood mounts as an accident waiting to happen. I won't have to worry about dropping my jack on the hood with this side mount.

            Jack rubs jeep

The passenger side mount does not work with the Red Rock 48" recovery jack on a stock 2018 JKU. The jack lifting mechanism hits the side of the jeep even though the screw-out foot on the mount is extended against the jeep as far as it will go... Further, I cannot turn the jack around as then the jack foot would hit my door every time it's opened... This thing is complete junk... At least the construction is sturdy I guess...

            Work's great

Very easy to install the unit, holds the jack secure, and easy to remove and install jack. No drilling like other options either. Does not get in the way of the door at least on the drivers side. Is a little pricey for what you get for sure. My guess is they are making a good margin.

            Better options out there

I looked for many many ways to secure my hi-lift while also having it available if needed. I actually purchased this but then returned it as I guess I was expecting more for the price. It gives you a secure mount place for the jack, locks it in place, like it says, but also costs a fortune compared to other options. I ended up with a hood mount and a large solid padlock for a fraction of this price.
