I have a light bar mounted with some brackets on the A-frame I believe and it’s using up one of the bolts that I noticed in the pictures, will it still be compatible?
This kit can be installed along with light bar mount, though a longer bolt might be required for a tight secure installation.
Are you sure this will fit a JL? The JL only has one bolt on the cowling, the pictures all show two here. Doesn't seem like it's meant for JL.
Upon reaching out directly to the manufacturer this will not fit with the new JL models. I have submitted site feedback to have this listing corrected and apologize for the listing information being incorrect.
Will this work with the red rock 60 in recovery jack or is it only for hi-lift jacks...
Yes! The RedRock 60in. Recovery Jack is a High Lift Jack.
Any feedback on wind noise generated by a mounting system directly in the flow such as this?
There will be some wind noise with the Bolt J Mount depending on the size of your jack.
Will this fit with a Barricade roof rack base on a 2009 JK.
The BOLT J-Mount will not be compatible with the Barricade Roof Rack.
The BOLT J-Mount would not clear the Barricade roof rack.

100 my favorite jack mount by far! Super easy to get too!

Very easy to install the unit, holds the jack secure, and easy to remove and install jack. No drilling like other options either. Does not get in the way of the door at least on the drivers side. Is a little pricey for what you get for sure. My guess is they are making a good margin.

Better options out there
I looked for many many ways to secure my hi-lift while also having it available if needed. I actually purchased this but then returned it as I guess I was expecting more for the price. It gives you a secure mount place for the jack, locks it in place, like it says, but also costs a fortune compared to other options. I ended up with a hood mount and a large solid padlock for a fraction of this price.
