Nice construction but incredibly poor finish. Would be better off to ship bare as a "you paint em" rust within one year.Helpful (0)

PLEASE Read This!
Purchased in 2016 and have had on my 2004 TJ since 2017. Similar experience to others as far as the install and poor finish, however my biggest reason for writing this review is to say PLEASE check your fenders to make sure they are both the same. I didn't realize until I later installed the barricade rock sliders that my fenders were different. The angle of the outside part of the fender as it slopes down toward the rock slider is different from passenger to driver side. At first I thought I installed the rock sliders incorrectly, but upon closer examination they were correctly installed as were the fenders. The reason I finally noticed is that the rock sliders have notch cut out in them to match up to the fender tubing which matched perfectly on the passenger side, but not the drivers side. On the drivers side there was a space of about 1.5 inches between the fender tube and the slider. I reached out to ET to see if maybe I ordered a wrong fender, however I had the correct one. I suspect maybe an error at the factory or design change? In any event, not the biggest deal to me as my jeep is usually covered in mud, but I wanted to make others aware to check theirs before installing. As far as using them for a few years, I have the typical rust from the poor finish, but these have taken a beating from hitting rocks and trees so I will touch them up this spring with some Rustoleum. They make a nice flat black spray paint that I have used before on my bumpers. For those not familiar with Barricade, it is a similar product in quality to Smittybuilt. I have the Barricade front and rear fenders as well as the sliders. I do notice for whatever reason that the finish on the sliders and rear fenders have held up much better than the front fenders. As many have said, you get what you pay for and for the price these are a good deal.Helpful (3)

Decent fenders, especially for the price
Overall, I'm happy with these. Installation was a little annoying but not terrible. I second the comments made by some others that there is some surface rust almost immediately-but only in very tiny spots.Helpful (0)

Poor customer service
Well I order the fender flares at 204 for the pair which confused me for the price, but I never had to select front or rear so I had thought I was getting the pair of front and rear. I don’t know how or what happened but I clicked on the barricade fenders for 204 and clicked add to cart, never made me pick front or rear so I assumed I got both, my email says that I order barricade FENDERES for 204, my shipping receipt saysthe rears were 0.00$ and my quarter covers were 287$. This is ridiculous and not being able to give me the deal for purchasing both when that’s what I thought I was doing is outrageous.Helpful (0)

These fenders are a great deal. They are well made. And if anyone shopping for a set of offroad fenders takes the time to watch the videos provided with the product description, there are no surprises. You will have to modify the mounting holes provided if you don't want a blind hole. I rate them a 5 because they are well made and fully disclosed in the description.Helpful (1)

They do function as flat fender flares and add additional clearance however the “textured powdercoat finish” is very cheap quality. After only 6 months of use, both the front and rear sets are oxidizing heavily and rust is starting to show in pockets underneath of each flare. I am going to sandblast, powdercoat and sell these for a set of Poison Spyder flares. As I stated, they do function as flat fender flares but the quality is not here, you get what you pay for. No instructions came with them but XT did send them to me when I asked, install took me a while but was not awful.Helpful (2)

These look great!
They don't come with instructions but go on-line. Choose wisely. Measure twice, cut once! I cut probably 25 times with a number of wheels. Don't use a sawzall!! Not an easy install if you like things right..Helpful (2)

Amazing, Look great, Install great, and TOUGH!
I installed these on my 97 Wrangler and the installation was a breeze, they look great and are really strong. Very happy with the purchase. Shipping was fast and the sales people at Extreme Terrain were super helpful. These did take a moment to install but that was because on a 23 year old Jeep, old bolts broke :)Helpful (1)

looks good for a while
Looks good and are made very good for the price.Warning the paint sucks. After a year the powder coat pealed and the fenders started rusting big time.Very quick fix to this problem is to repaint the fenders before you install them with a good primer and oil base paint.Do this and they are good to go.Helpful (2)
I have a 2001 TJ with 35/12.5/15 will the 3 inch flare cover?
It would depend on the backspacing of your wheel if the Barricade Fenders would over your 12.50 wide tire, usually you would need a 4-6" wide fender to completely cover the tire.
Some customers say they have a cut out for a blinker. Do they or don’t they? Deciding factor on buying them. Thanks
These Barricade Fenders are designed for off-road use only and do not have/or cut-out for turn signal blinkers.
Is there a Blinker light kit that goes with this fender? I like to see the blinkers that go with the fender before I buy them.
No, currently Barricade does not offer a turn signal marker kit for use with the Barricade Fenders as they are intended for off road use only. Adding your own turn signals would require modification.
Would like to powder coat an additional coat before installing. Will the factory coat serve as a good enough primer?
You would have to strip the powder coating that is already on these fenders to powder coat them the color or finish you want.
Can I get a part number for the LEDs that go in the front fenders to keep me legal? Thx
You should have more than enough clearance with these, yes.
