Hey. What's up, guys? I'm Ryan from ExtremeTerrain and today I'm here with the Barricade Enhanced Rubi Rails fitting your 2018 and up four-door Wrangler JL. This is going to be for those of you that are looking for that factory look, styling, and protection with just a little extra. This is a very practical upgrade for those of you that like to venture out into the woods and off-road. Now, these are designed just like the factory Rubicon Rocker Guards. However, Barricade added an extra tubular rail that extends away from the body. That's going to give you a little more protection, whether it is from an obstacle in the woods or it's a wayward shopping cart. Now, these are a great upgrade because they're going to give you a little more space, a little more distance, and that's going to keep you battle scar free. Now, these will provide you a little bit of a step, gaining some ease of access but they're not a drop step, so there's nothing really to get caught up on when you're off-roading. Now, these are designed to be a direct bolt-on, so there's no drilling or modification required to install these and they're made of heavy-duty steel tubing and plating. The whole thing's finished off with an aggressive textured black powder coating. That's going to provide corrosion resistance, protecting your investment from the elements. Now, these are a very sturdy design. They feel very strong and they fit great. Their average price as far as these rockers go for the construction and design at right around $375, I think this is a great option to go with. Now as far as the installation goes, I'm going to give this a one out of three wrenches on the difficulty meter as you can get these things installed in about two hours just using basic hand tools and a friend. Now with that being said, let's hop into the install.Tools we used for this install: 3/8 drive ratchet, 1/4 inch drive ratchet, 10 millimeter socket, 13 millimeter socket. Now these are a relatively easy install as these bolt right onto the body. Now, if you do have a factory step, you'll need to remove that. So, it's relatively simple to do. You need a 13 millimeter socket and a 12 millimeter socket. Now these are not side-specific, they'll work on either side. So just grab one out of the box. You get brand new hardware to install it, so we're going to crawl under there and get these things installed. So you might want to grab a friend because are all relatively heavy. All you're going to do is you're going to slide this back part underneath the backside of this pinch weld and then these studs sticking out, you're just going to slide that up until they slide through the body. Next, you're going to get your hardware and get ready to install it. So once you get this thing on, you want to push it up tight against the body. Want to make sure that you have a nice gap in here. If this is too close, it's touching the body, Barricade gives you brand new shims, you can install as they come in 3 millimeters and 5 millimeters, so you can shim it out accordingly that way you'll leave a little gap and you won't scratch your body. Now as far as mounting points go, you're going to have one here, goes up into the body, and then you're going to have two studs. So we're going to start with this bolt. This bolt's going to get a lock washer and a flat washer. It's going to go up through this bracket. And each one of these studs is going to get a flat washer and a little tiny nyloc nut. So we're going to go and do that to all three sections on this rail and then we'll go around and tighten everything up. And now we're going to go around and tighten everything up. So we're going to tighten up these studs first. We're going to use a 10 millimeter socket to tighten up these nuts. Then once we get all those tightened up, we'll tighten up these bolts. Now to tighten up these bolts, you're going to use a 13 millimeter socket. Tighten them up until we crush that lock washer. So once you have these all tightened up, you're going to do the same thing on the other side. And remember, if these fit too tight, you can always use those shims. However, that's going to wrap up my review and install. For more products and videos like this, check us out at extremeterrain.com.
