Hey, guys. Today I'm here with the Axial Vision Smoked LED Tail Lights fitting all 2007 to 2018 JK Wranglers. So if you've damaged a taillight housing or a bulb has burnt out on you or you're just overall looking for an upgrade to your factory taillights, this option by Axial is going to be a good choice to take into consideration. This is gonna replace that conventional halogen bulb with a set of LEDs and this is also going to do a really good job at creating a sleek and smoked look on the back of your Jeep. The LEDs are going to be incredibly brighter than your factory tail lights which is going to allow other drivers to be more aware of you on the road and these backup lights are going to be incredibly bright with that smoked lens even there which is going to help you out with some better visibility while you are backing up.So if you're looking for better lighting performance as well as a smoked and stealthy look, this is going to be a really good choice to take a look at. Not to mention these are also going to be incredibly affordable at roughly $200 in comparison to some other choices. Now, again, this is for somebody who wants to stand out and is looking for something that's different from the conventional tail light. So compared to some other choices on the page, some tail lights may be set up with multiple reflectors instead of a bar design like this. They may have a red lens or even a clear lens that's gonna accompany the LEDs or they're going to be for a factory replacement or a lookalike of a factory replacement. Now in my personal opinion, again, I think if you're looking to really stand out with your light choice, if you're looking for a sleek look and some good lighting performance out of the back of your Jeep, then this is definitely an affordable option that is going to be a great choice. So install is going to be incredibly easy as well at a one out of three wrenches on the difficulty meter, taking no less than 30 minutes in order to get these installed with some very basic hand tools. So speaking of the install, let's jump into that now.The tools that I used for my install were a pair of pliers, a Philips head screwdriver and a 5.5 millimeter wrench. Our first step to removing our factory tail light is to remove the two Philips head screws on the inside of our tail light. The two outer screws are not gonna be connected to the body of the Jeep. They're just holding the housing together for the lens. So we are going to remove these with a Philips head screwdriver. Now you could also use a Philips bit with a drill or a Philips socket with an impact wrench. So once those two screws are out what we can do is wiggle our housing out and we can disconnect our wiring harness. There is a little tab that we have to press down on. Then we can pull back and put this tail light aside and grab our new one. Before we mount up our tail light and plug it in, we do want to attach our resistor to the bracket that is provided. This is going to be installed on the inside of our tail light housing. So what we're gonna do is take this resistor, place this on to the bracket. We are given hardware in order to install it on the bracket. After you get the hardware started, what we can do is tighten that down with a Philips head screwdriver and a 5.5 millimeter wrench. You could also use a 5.5 millimeter socket. All right. So now that that bracket is on, what we can do is take our provided clips and put these on the side of our bracket. So this one is a little bit tighter than the other one and if that is the case for you, you could just take a pair of pliers and just give this a little clamp. And then it will be a little bit tighter. That'll slide on there. And then what we can do to mount this up where our tail light mounts there is a piece of sheet metal that I'll show you in a second. Well, we're going to slide this bracket in between these clips and that's gonna hold it in place and make sure that it's not dangling around inside our Wrangler. So this is the piece of sheet metal that we're gonna attach our bracket to. So all we have to do is just slide that on and the barbed clip will hold it in place. Right. So once we have both of those clips installed on the bracket and the sheet metal, we can plug our tail light wiring harness together. Make sure that we hear a clip. We can mount this up in the factory location, making sure that it's sitting flush with the body and reinstall our factory screws. Tighten those up with a Philips head screwdriver. Now you wanna make sure that you're not overtightening these just because this is plastic and it will crack if you do overtighten them. Before we continue with the rest of our install, I wanted to stop down and give you guys a little comparison on the new Axial Tail Light in comparison to our factory one. Right off the bat you can tell that these are going to be completely different in design and they're also gonna be completely different in lighting performance as well. On our factory tail light you see that we have a red reflector. We also have a white reflector down at the bottom for our reverse lights. We also are gonna have a large red reflector on the side but with our new Axial Tail Light it's going to be completely different we have a smoked lens instead of a red lens which is going to give us a very sleek look. The lens is actually going to be pretty smooth and not textured like our factory one which is going to give you a sleeker look to that stealthy lens. And then we're also getting that LED technology inside. So you are getting the bar design with the LEDs which is going to eliminate red which you'll see in just a second. We're also getting two large reflectors on the side and those are going to be our backup lights. And what I really like about this setup is the fact that the smoked lens design is not going to interfere with the brightness of that LED. With our factory tail light we do get a halogen bulb that is not going to be as efficient as an LED. It will burn out over time and it's not going to be as bright. With this new option you're getting that LED technology. It's going to be a lot brighter even through that smoked lens, so that's something that is definitely a benefit out of this Axial Tail Light. Not to mention you are keeping the factory reflector on the side and you're getting two additional lights. Now what I really like about this is that it comes with everything that you need in order to install them as well as brackets for the resistor so you don't have to self-tap any screws in your Jeep. So that is definitely a bonus out of this kit and again, overall, you're getting a lot of lighting performance out of these as well as a very stealthy look. So enough about these two on the table. Let's go ahead and mount up our second tail light. After your screws are tight, then you're all set to go. So that's gonna wrap it up for my quick review and install.
