The Artec Industries APEX Dana 44 Front Axle Armor Kit for Raised Trackbar is engineered to reinforce weak points in the front axle assembly, providing superior durability and rigidity. It is ideal for enthusiasts aiming to upgrade their JK Rubicon’s axle strength, especially when using larger tires or for off-road use.
Construction and Appearance. This armor kit features precision laser-cut and CNC-bent 1/8" mild steel components designed for strength and lightweight performance, incorporating a patented peaked top truss design that enhances rigidity. Parts are 3D-modeled for precise fitment and clearance with surrounding components and include dimpled holes to optimize the balance between weight and strength. The parts are weld-on steel components intended for welding to the axle.
Installation. Installation requires moderate welding skills with recommended pre and post-heating to protect cast sections of the axle. Axle removal is advised for the best results. The kit does not require drilling but may necessitate trimming of factory components for proper fitment.
Application. Specifically engineered for 07-18 Jeep Wrangler JK Rubicon models equipped with Dana 44 front axles and designed for use with raised trackbar setups that commonly require a drag link flip kit due to lift height.
