Specs. Alloy USA serves the needs of Wrangler Rubicon with their toughened axle shaft kits. Able to withstand twice the torsional forces as the OEM 1040 axles and 40 percent stronger overall, these 4340 alloy components are tempered, heat treated, and induction hardened. The kit includes long inner axles and short outer axle stubs, plus the U-joints (also Chromoly) and full circle snap rings needed for installation. A 30 spline carrier is needed on the Rubicon. The splining is achieved by cold rolling, a process that produces better quality splines than cutting does. Alloy USA offers a remarkable 14 year warranty on the axles, with a 3 year warranty for the U-joints.
