      Video Review & Installation

I'm Ryan from extremeterrain.com and this is my review and installation of the WeatherTech DigitalFit Floor Liners fitting all 2007 and up JKs. Now, these are available for all JKs, however, Jeep did change the floor design a little bit and WeatherTech has these fit exactly to your Jeep so there are a couple of different versions, depending on what year Jeep you have. One fits the 2007 to 2013 and the other from the 2014 and up JK, so make sure you get the right one for your Jeep. Now, these rear liners are for a four-door, but the front floor liners will fit in either a two-door or a four-door Jeep, and these are available in three different colors, either the black you see here a gray, or a tan color. Now, today we are going to talk through the installation of these floor mats, which of course, is a very simple one out of three wrenches. I struggle to even call it an installation. You really just throw these in place. They are just a floor mat after all, but we'll talk more about that in just a second. We're also gonna talk through the construction and a few of the different features that these floor mats have. Floor mats are for those of you who want to both finish off the look of the interior of your Jeep, but also to preserve it and protect it. A floor liner like this is going to be great whether you're hitting the trails and you're jumping in and out of your Jeep with muddy shoes or you're just on the road and you're worried about road grime, oil from the parking lot or snow, this is going to protect your factory carpeting and be something that's really easy to wash out. You can just remove these from your Jeep and hose them off. And the nice thing about a WeatherTech floor mat and especially their digital-fit line is that these are designed to fit exactly in your Jeep. They're gonna fit every contour of the floor which means you're not going to end up with a little corner here or there that doesn't have good coverage, that doesn't have good protection. And the fact that these fit so well also mean that they don't move around under your feet. Those of you who have had less expensive floor mats that don't fit as well and don't have any sort of retention mechanism know that a couple of times getting in and out of the Jeep and that floor mat can be bunched up underneath the pedals which is not only annoying but can be a little bit dangerous. So, these are a very high-quality floor mat and WeatherTech is very proud of them. They are going to also be a little bit more expensive than some of the other floor mats on the market. Now, WeatherTech floor mats are no longer the most expensive mats that you can get, but they are still a very high quality, so they are going to be toward the top of the price range. These mats are made of a proprietary blended TPO material, and as it says right in the name, these are digital fit. There's actually a digital laser technology that WeatherTech uses to map out the floor of the Jeep to ensure that these are going to fit perfectly. Now, these floor liners like a lot of others on the market these days, do have sides on them, so as I said before, whether you're getting into your Jeep with muddy shoes or with melting snow, these walls are going to keep all of that mess on the mat and not on your carpet, which also makes it very easy to pick up the mat and dump it or pick it up, hose it off, and then reinstall it in your Jeep. Now, with the front mats, these are, of course, the rear for a four door but with the front mats, they use the factory retentions points. As I mentioned before, these aren't going to slide around. They're not gonna bunch up under your pedals. They're gonna stay exactly where you put them. And because these are built of such a high-quality material, you're not going to have to worry about them wearing out. Again, those of you who have had a thin, auto parts store floor mat know that, after a fairly short period of time, you can wear a divot in that with your heel. With this, you're not going to have that problem. These are going to hold up well over time.As for the installation, as I said before, one out of three wrenches, less than 15 minutes. These are floor mats. It's hardly an install. You're really just throwing them into place. The rear, of course, is a one-piece mat, so you do have protection over the trans tunnel, over the hump. They'll just slide in. They do go a little bit underneath the rear seats and underneath the front seats giving you that full protection. The fronts, of course, are gonna slide right into place. This is going to be a very quick and easy process to get these installed and instantly protect your interior.Like I said before, WeatherTech is no longer the most expensive floor mat you can get, however, they are still a very high-quality floor mat. There are other brands out there that are the Lloyd, the Husky mats that are going to be a fairly similar design at this point and right around the same price, so it really comes down to what you want and what you like. I think that this is a really well-built mat. Floor mats, in general, the high-quality ones are expensive, but they're all going to be right around the same price range. So again, if you want a high-quality mat, you want one that's going to protect very well and protect for a very long time, you are gonna have to spend a little bit of money. And whether you go with the WeatherTech, the Lloyd, or the Husky, they are all going to be right around the same price. So, if you're looking for a set of floor mats that's going to do a really nice job of protecting your interior and also finish off the look of your interior, I definitely recommend taking a look at these ones from WeatherTech. These are going to fit very well, and they're fairly priced. So, that's my review of the WeatherTech DigitalFit Floor Liners fitting all 2007 and up JKs that you can find right here at extremeterrain.com.
