Tuffy Security Products Speaker and Storage Lockbox Set; Black (97-06 Jeep Wrangler TJ)

Design. Tuffy speaker and storage lockboxes fit on top of the wheel wells, bolting on using Grade 8 mounting hardware. The boxes are made of tough, durable 16 gauge steel and are even more difficult to break into thanks to their hemmed lid. Additionally, the boxes contain a compartment for 4 inch by 5 inch speakers, giving a secure space for speakers and partly camouflaging the fact that there is also a compartment for valuables. The box is fully lockable and features a 10 tumbler key, making sure the owner's items stay where they are supposed to.

Storage Benefits. These lockboxes add storage capacity to an ordinarily unused area of the Jeep interior. They protect additional speakers for a better sound system while simultaneously providing two secure spots to lock up small, costly items. The boxes are hard to spot and may be overlooked by a thief in a hurry.

Mounting. The boxes must be fitted between roll bars. In order to mount them, it is necessary to drill two 3/8 inch attachment holes in the top of the wheel well. Optionally, the plastic wheel well protector can be removed to keep it intact, but it is easier to drill directly through it. The lock box is then bolted on with the supplied hardware and finished with a silicone sealant (not included) to prevent rusting around the drilling sites.
