        This high security 16 gauge steel console features Tuffy's patented pushbutton latch system. For safety and convenience while operating the vehicle, the lid also latches closed without having to be locked. It has a spacious compartment for mounting a CD changer, storing tools, electronic equipment, cellular phones, and other valuables. Rubber floor mat is included; other accessories are available.

        Mounting: Mounts through the floor, drilling required (3) holes.

        This product description say the console will fit 91-95 Wranglers. Why not a 1990? Consoles from others Like Smitty and Rugged Ridge list consoles for all YJs.

        • The Tuffy 8 in. Wide Series II Security Console will fit only the 91-95 Wranglers due to the changes in dimension that interfere with earlier models.

          Great center console

          I put this in my 95 YJ and I liked it alot. It is tight between the seats but not bad (still worthy of 5 stars). I feel safe leaving anything in this console. I looking to buy another one for another YJ.

          well made product

          Great product well made. The arm rest is in the perfect spot you can reach down to the cup holders very comfortably while your arm is still resting on the rest. I feel good about locking valuables in the console when the top is off my Jeep.

          Want security, buy one of these.

          Fairly easy to install. Very strong. Good secure locking system. Fits perfectly between the seats of my ‘91 Wrangler.

          Solid Console

          Good solid product. All steel, and a nice lock. I would be confident in leaving most valuables in it while I am not in my Jeep. It is a tight fit between the seats, but it can be accomplished.

          Needed a console for My Wrangler

          I bought a 1991 Wrangler that already had the Tuffy glove box installed in it as I liked it very much when I decided to buy a console for it I chose the Tuffy 8" wide. It fits perfect very good quality for the price I was even able to order another lock assembly to match the key for the glove box. I would buy this Console again if needed.

          Safe and secure.

          This console is a huge upgrade over the factory one. The height is comfortable and the install wasn't too difficult. The lock feels solid and I don't worry when I leave my stereo faceplate or firearms in the console. It's a tight fit and it causes some extra work to put the passenger seat up but it's a small price to pay for a well-built, sturdy console. It's worth the premium price.

          Good security console

          8" is a little wide for the 93 Jeep, but was able to squeeze it in. It is nice to have the arm rest, and seems pretty secure. The inside if bare bones, but pretty large.
