    Review & Install Video

I'm Ryan from, and this is my review of the Teraflex rear cargo rack side panel kit, designed to work with the Teraflex rear utility cargo rack in all four-door 2007 to 2016 JKs with a hardtop. The rear utility cargo rack from Teraflex is a great way to add some additional storage space to your Jeep, but if you're keeping some really small items on that cargo rack, they can tend to slip through the sides between the cargo rack surface and the side rails. What these are designed to do is to fill in that space, allowing you to carry smaller cargo without it falling through the cracks. These side panels are made of a steel material, just like the bottom of the cargo rack itself, and they're designed to bolt right onto that rack. They include all four of the sides that you need and all the hardware necessary to get them installed. Once you have your cargo rack assembled, installing the side panels is really simple. All you need to do is slide the T-nuts into the T-slot on the side rails, loosely install the bolts, and then put the side panels in place. Once they're in place, all you need to do is tighten down those bolts, and you're finished. The whole installation of the sides themselves shouldn't take you more than a half-hour, although getting the rack itself assembled could take you a little bit longer. And you won't need any specialty tools, just a good set of Allen keys. Teraflex is known for making really high-quality parts, and this side panel kit for their cargo rack is no different. It includes really well thought out instructions, all the hardware that you need to get it bolted up, and it works really well, although along with all of that comes a higher price tag. Between these side panels and the rack that they're designed to bolt on, you're going to have a lot of money wrapped up in a rear cargo solution. Now, if this is something you're going to be using daily or often, you wanna make sure that it lasts a good long time, I would recommend making the investment in a high-quality product like this one from Teraflex. But, if you're somebody who's only going to be using this rack once a year, maybe, or isn't looking to get a lot of longevity out of it, you could probably save a little bit of money and go with one of the less expensive racks on the market. So, if you already have Teraflex's rear utility cargo rack, but you wanna be able to carry some smaller items on the rack without them falling through the slats, I would definitely recommend taking a look at this side panel kit. It's a seamless installation that looks good, but most importantly, it works. So that's my review of Teraflex's rear cargo rack side panel kit, designed to work with their rear utility cargo rack, available for all 2007 to 2016 four-door JKs, that you can find right here at

How to Make your Teraflex Cargo Rack Even Better. The only drawback to your 4-door JK Wrangler’s Teraflex Rear Utility Cargo Rack might be the gaps on the sides. Sometimes, you want to carry things that might make its way between the standard side rails. This kit closes those gaps in a secure way that looks smooth. The resulting cargo basket is great for small items like fishing rods, tackle, or other gear that might fall out of the standard rack. Just like the rest of the Teraflex Rear Cargo Rack System, this side panel kit is engineered to be rattle-free.

Sturdy Construction. The panels are made of sturdy steel, and powder coated black. The edges are nicely turned and finished to prevent cuts or damage to your cargo.

Easy Installation. Installation is fully documented and requires only basic hand tools. Set aside about an hour to complete the job.

Application. This Teraflex Side Panel Kit is specifically designed to be used on a 2007-2018 Wrangler JK 4 Door equipped with a Teraflex Rear Utility Cargo Rack, part# 4820020 or 4820000 (sold separately).

A cargo rack should not take 3 hours!!!

A cargo rack should not take 3 hours to put together. Nice product but will never buy this brand ever again due to complex construction.

I got this item because I am a video shooter and it's a great storage for my cameras. Don't think it's waterproof but it's definitely water resistant
