Description
Heavy-Duty Ball Joints. The Teraflex Dana 30/44 HD Ball Joint Kit without Knurl is engineered to withstand the increased stress from oversized tires and offset wheels on off-road vehicles. It ensures reliable articulation and enhanced durability for front suspension components, delivering smoother and safer performance during demanding driving conditions.
Construction and Appearance. These ball joints are built from heat-treated 4140 chromoly steel for the ball studs and 1045 carbon steel for the housing, both featuring a corrosion-resistant magnesium phosphate coating. The design includes dual helical grease grooves and hard alloy tool steel wear plates for extended service life and reduced friction. The rugged finish is optimized for durability in harsh environments.
Installation. Installation requires moderate mechanical skill and an estimated labor time of four hours. No drilling is necessary, as the ball joints are designed for direct fitment with the existing knuckle assembly, provided the vehicle does not have RCV axle shafts installed.
Application. This kit fits the 2018 through 2026 Jeep Wrangler JL models, excluding vehicles equipped with RCV axle shafts due to incompatibility with the design of those axle shafts.
