End result was spot on. The instructions need better pictures and description. FYI the sleeve that goes in the rear track bar bracket that keeps it from crushing when tightening the bolt, it’s in the box under the front shock extensions. Remember this when you go through all the hardware bags.Helpful (1)

Real Nice Lift
Installed my lift today. Local Jeep Shop. Two guys 1.5 hrs. Drove around all day with an extra big smile. Ride is as smooth as before. My Jeep rarely see's any dirt, so no Off Road Capability(YET). Feels Great, Looks Great, and Cost Great!!! No exhaust spacer needed! 295/70/18 (34.5)Helpful (4)

Added this kit to my 2013 JKU and also added some 18/60 springs with Rubicon shocks. Got well over a 3inch lift and no exhaust spacer needed. Also added teraflex trackbars to firm up the ride.Helpful (6)

Perfect solution to clear my 295/70/17 Nittos. I ended up also buying the matching shocks and don't regret it as the stock shocks are junk. It took me a weekend to do in my driveway since it was really hot out and I took my time. No regrets. It rides better than stock with the upgraded shocks. There was a bit of creaking at first, but it's gone. Love the jeep so much more now.Helpful (6)

Missed my ride
I didn't have a problem with this lift for daily road driving but because I purchased the boost kit without shocks, when I took my jeep off-road after 2 rides the shock relocation bracket broke on one side leaving my shock just hanging. We purchased new shocks to accommodate the lift and were able to continue 4wheeling for the remainder of the trip. However, I missed out on a jeep ride (Poison Spider Mesa) I had scheduled and prepaid for during the Easter Jeep Safari in Moab 2018.Helpful (7)

Hi, I have a 2013, 2 door sport. Its is my daily vehicle and do mostly highway driving. I do not do much of reading but when I do it's pretty much flat terrain. I do go on the beach. Will this kit work for me?
Based on your description of how you drive your Jeep, this would be an ideal kit for you.
I just received a Teraflex 2.5 budget boost kit #j10217 w/o shocks, w/adapters. I am thinking about sending it back and upgrading to a kit that has shocks and springs. The reason being and my questions also is, will the stock shocks and springs sag with a heavy bumper and a 85 pound winch on the front of the vehicle?
Typically we do not recommend the Teraflex 2.5 in. Performance Budget Boost Kit or similar kits for applications using aftermarket bumpers and winch, as the stock springs are prone to sagging under the increased weight. We would recommend a kit that includes springs, as these will handle the added weight much better.
Anyone installed this on a jku with stock 265/70/17 ko2 tires? Just wondering if it will look odd without getting bigger tires.
I think the 265/70/17 would looked fine with the leveling kit, once you go past a 2.5" lift is where the stock tires tend to look a bit small and odd. If you do have any questions please feel free to contact us via email, chat or by phone!
With this kit will I have to make any adjustments to my drive shafts?
This kit will not require modifications made to the driveshaft. However, on the 2012+ models, you will want to add an exhaust spacer kit to avoid the exhaust being to close to the driveshaft.
I plan on getting this kit for a more aggressive look but do not plan on doing any off-roading. However I may be interested in new front and rear bumpers, which would obviously weigh more than the stock ones. Would this kit be able to hold that weight if I’m only doing on road driving?
Yes, this kit will be able to handle the weight of aftermarket bumpers.
Yes, the Teraflex 2.5 in. Performance Budget Boost Kit w/o Shocks w/Adapters will both level and lift your Jeep!
This will lift and level your JK.
285/70/17 = 32.7x11.2/17, while the overall height of the tire will be fine with theTeraflex 2.5 in. Performance Budget Boost Kit. Due to the width of that tire we would suggest aftermarket wheels with the correct backspacing to prevent rubbing issues while turning. If you do not want to go with aftermarket wheels with the correct backspacing, then yes- wheel spacers will be required to run your factory wheels and 285/70R17 tires.
Rubicon models will have shocks tuned for off road use. The kit without the shocks will reuse the OEM shocks though the springs should help with control a bit. A kit with Teraflex shocks will give a good ride and good control for a lifted Wrangler.
Hello, yes, this will fit a 2016 2 door w/ 6 speed manual.
A 2.5 inch rear sway bar link would work great, but with the front sway bar links provided in this lift, would be sufficient with this kit.
Hello, to be able to try and have your ride as smooth as possible we would recommend removing all the current parts you have on your current lift, adding the stock coil springs and shocks, and fully installing this Budget Boost kit.
Hello, if you don't want to use the included bracket, then we would advise going with and adjustable track bar.
