I just received a Teraflex 2.5 budget boost kit #j10217 w/o shocks, w/adapters. I am thinking about sending it back and upgrading to a kit that has shocks and springs. The reason being and my questions also is, will the stock shocks and springs sag with a heavy bumper and a 85 pound winch on the front of the vehicle?

    RandyA

    • Typically we do not recommend the Teraflex 2.5 in. Performance Budget Boost Kit or similar kits for applications using aftermarket bumpers and winch, as the stock springs are prone to sagging under the increased weight. We would recommend a kit that includes springs, as these will handle the added weight much better.

Anyone installed this on a jku with stock 265/70/17 ko2 tires? Just wondering if it will look odd without getting bigger tires.

    DE

    • I think the 265/70/17 would looked fine with the leveling kit, once you go past a 2.5" lift is where the stock tires tend to look a bit small and odd. If you do have any questions please feel free to contact us via email, chat or by phone!

Greetings, can you please advise on the length of the rear sway bar links ... is it the same size with stock rear ones? thank you

    Ciprian

    • A 2.5 inch rear sway bar link would work great, but with the front sway bar links provided in this lift, would be sufficient with this kit.

Ive got a 2012 JK 2 doors with Mopar 2.5 lift. I sort of hate the stiff ride and looking to smoothen it with factory coils along with the TeraFlex 2.5 front, and 2inch spacer in the back while maintaining the same shocks. my question is would this setup work out? and would it smoothen the ride for me?

    KazS

    • Hello, to be able to try and have your ride as smooth as possible we would recommend removing all the current parts you have on your current lift, adding the stock coil springs and shocks, and fully installing this Budget Boost kit.

Should a Teraflex rear trackbar Axle kit be a better choice than the smaller brackets included in this kit? I see some drilling is required for the included brackets, which is why I ask

    Shinny

    • Hello, if you don't want to use the included bracket, then we would advise going with and adjustable track bar.

      Budget Boost

I wanted that "up in the air" look and feel for my Jeep, so I went with best for your buck product I could find and all research and recommendations lead me to the Teraflex Budget Boost. This lift is very affordable. I had it professionally installed, but only because of a lack of garage space - doesn't seem very difficult at all. I was able to put 35"X12.50X15 tires on and now I'm running with the big dogs. It's only been a week and I have received compliment after compliment every single day since. great product - especially for the price! I absolutely recommend this product 100%!

With common man tools this install took less than 4 hours to complete the directions were a little spotty but the YouTube video made it easier. To do another would take about 2.5 to 3 hrs. Being that these are spacers and not springs I still maintained my factory ride. Definitely a great purchase for everyday driving

      Straightforward Install..

Install was very easy using basic hand tools, I was able to get the axles low enough to remove and install the springs without loosening the trailing arm bolts. I suggest trying it first before loosening the bolts so you don't have to worry about retorquing the trailing arm bolts. Install took about 4hrs.

Budget Boost/Leveling Kit is a Good Choice

I bought this kit to put on my 2015 JKU Rubicon. I believe that the stock Rubicon springs and shocks are very capable for off-road and wanted to keep them while getting more clearance under the jeep. I had a local shop install the kit. This is the only non-stock item that I have added to the jeep so far. The kit definitely makes the jeep look better and will allow me to put bigger tires on when the original tires wear out. 3 days after the kit was installed I went off-roading around the Lake Havasu/Parker Arizona area. Although I did not do all of the obstacles my friends did, I did go on obstacles that I had not ever attempted before. Like 3-4 foot waterfalls and other rocky obstacles. The lift helped to save my jeep from scraping/banging/denting the under carriage components as much and from high centering on some whooptie doos. As it was, I did not come away without some new beauty marks! For those who don't want to spend a whole lot more on a lift with new springs and shocks, this kit is a good option.

Great product for the money. Gives a great lift and leveling to the Unlimited Jeep. Extenders for stock shocks are great and Jeep rides as good, if not better, than stock. Had this installed two weeks ago and love it so far.

      Great product for beginners

I'm new to jeeps but I did my research when I was looking for the perfect lift for me. And I found it to be the teraflex 2.5 buget. It was pretty easy to install due to the great instructions that where provided. I would recommend that you get the exhaust spacer at the same time if you plan on installing this type or really any lift, they just help with the install at least. This lift really helped me clear some obstacle I was having trouble with and my next step will be getting 35" tires. Great product all around and best price anywhere on the web.

      Good lift for the money

This is a good lift for the money. I put 35's on 20" wheels and there is no rubbing. The only thing I would recommend is order a upgraded steering stabilizer with the lift if you are going to put big wheels and tires. Just so the steering still feels tight. But I'm really satisfied with the lift and would recommend with to everyone. It Took 5hrs to install

      Good end result...

This lift took me all day Saturday and most of Sunday to install. Mainly because I was really cautious being it was my first time ever to work on my Rubicon. Amother person would have made install a little easier. I was happy with the end result. But found that the ESC issued I've been experiencing will be addressed by purchasing an adjustable trackbar. Guess what my next purchase is!
