Hey, guys. So, today we're checking out the Steinjager Door Hinge Mounted Mirrors in Red Baron, fitting all 2018 and newer JL Wranglers. So, taking the doors off of your Wrangler is one of the best features that it has. However, when doing so, you are taking off your factory mirrors, which is going to make you lose a lot of visibility and even safety while you're driving around on the street or even on the trail. Now, a set of accessory mirrors or hinge mounted mirrors like this option here is always a great solution. If you're looking for a higher quality set of hinge mounted mirrors, then Steinjager is going to have those. Now, this kit is going to include the mirror arm, as well as the mirror itself, and it is going to be an overall pretty solid kit. Now the mirror arm is going to be made of metal and then you have a plastic housing up here. It is going to be pretty durable, so if you do take any branches or brush on the trail to your mirrors, then these are going to be okay. Now, there is also a red baron powder coat on top of the mirror arm, which is perfect for you guys out there that are looking for accessories to match any other red accessories or accents that you already have on your Wrangler. Now, this is gonna open up a lot of visibility and even will be for the Jeep owner who is looking for an easy and no fuss solution when it comes to mirrors. Now, you can relocate your factory mirror or you can also get a quick-release bracket. However, if you're not really looking for all of that, you're looking just for a solid set of mirrors that's going to provide you a lot of visibility on the street and the trail while also looking good while doing it, then this is gonna be a great choice. With all that being said, this is going to be roughly $200 for the package and I, in my personal opinion, I think you're getting what you pay for. These are a high-quality set of mirrors, and what I really like about the design is that not only is this angled with the A-pillar making it look very clean, but it covers up the whole hinge at the bottom and you're even getting a rubber bushing in there to protect the paint on the outside of that hinge. Now, that's just gonna give it an overall very clean look. In my personal opinion, I really like that in comparison to some of the other choices that just have the nut and the bolt on the bottom. Now, in comparison to some other options for mirror solutions, you do have those relocation options as well as the quick release options. But I think if you're looking for something that's very easy to install whenever you take your doors off, you don't necessarily want a bracket to live up on your A-pillar or you just don't want to relocate your mirror at all, then this is going to be a great choice for you. Now, install is also going to be very easy considering you have to pop these on whenever you take your doors off. I'm gonna give it a one out of three wrenches on the difficulty meter. You're gonna need very little hand tools to get the job done. So, speaking of that, let's jump into the install now.The tools that I used for my install were an impact wrench, a 9/16-inch deep socket, a 12-millimeter socket, a T50 and a T40 torque socket, and a 3/8-inch drive ratchet. So, the first step to installing our mirrors is to take our doors off. Now I'm gonna go ahead and take off our hinge bolts using a T50 torque socket. So, now we can head to the inside and take off our wiring harness as well as our hinge on the inside. So, we can take off this panel to expose our wiring harness. All you have to do is pull back on it. There may be a little attachment that's keeping it on. What we can do now is disconnect our harness. So, we're gonna push up on that red locking tab, push up on this white connector here, and then pull back. Then we can work on our limiting strap here. Just going to pull in the door, just a hair so we can get a little bit of slack in that strap. Pull up, and now we can take the bolt out of our hinge. I'm gonna use a T40 torque socket. We can remove that bolt and then the door is completely disconnected. So, all we have to do is just slide it up and out of the hinges. So once you have a good grip on the door, you can slide it up out of the pins and put it in a safe location. What we can do is take our mirror arm, making sure that we have the correct side. It is going to be side-specific and you can tell by how it's angled up with the A-pillar. We're also going to have a slit here that we're gonna line up with the hinge. So, it will slide right over the hinge itself. It's gonna cover up the whole hinge. I do really like that about this set, then we can take our provided nylon lock nut and thread that onto the bottom of our mirror arm. So, now that that's installed, we're not gonna tighten it down yet, we want a little bit of wiggle room to get our mirror on. What we can do now is take the provided hardware that was threaded into our mirror, put that through our mirror arm and thread that into the mirror post. So, once this is installed, what we can do is tighten that up with a 12-millimeter socket, then we can tighten up this bottom post with a 9/16-inch socket. All right. And the mirror should be in place, and we'll be able to adjust it with the ball and socket style mirror. So, once you have everything tightened down on this side, you're gonna repeat the same process on the other side. So, that's gonna wrap it up for my review and install.
