Description
High Steer. If you're converting your Wrangler JK to a high-steer system, or you already have, you'll want this extreme duty top-mount draglink. All of the components, from the ball joints to the rod ends and the adjusters, combine to create an extreme duty, high-performance system. It's engineered for proper clearance to other chassis elements, so you don't need to fear interference.
Quality Parts. Street Smarts didn't skimp at all on this assembly. The ball joints are the largest and strongest ever assembled in a steering linkage for a Wrangler. Made of cold-headed medium carbon alloy steel, the greasable 30mm ball joints feature steel bearings for outstanding ball joint wear resistance. The drag link rod ends are forged out of medium carbon hardened steel and then heat-treated for even more fatigue strength and resistance to buckling. Large 1-¼" rolled threads at the ends of the tie rod adjuster and the draglink provide much more strength than OE threads. Finally, an epoxy coating ensures a top layer of hard and tough resistance to impact and corrosion.
Smart Design Features. The Reverse Taper Mount is a patent pending application that will let you easily bolt the unit without any drilling of the knuckle. And the Reverse Pin ball joint technology, built into the socket for both the rod ends and the drag link, keeps the linkage from flopping around or rocking while traveling those ridiculously rugged off-road trails.
Application. The YETI Top-Mount Extreme Duty No-Drill Draglink from Steer Smarts is designed for all 2007-2018 left hand drive JK Wrangler models. Note that a minimum of 16" diameter wheels with a maximum 4.5" backspacing must be used with this draglink.
