      Description

High Steer. If you're converting your Wrangler JK to a high-steer system, or you already have, you'll want this extreme duty top-mount draglink. All of the components, from the ball joints to the rod ends and the adjusters, combine to create an extreme duty, high-performance system. It's engineered for proper clearance to other chassis elements, so you don't need to fear interference.

      Quality Parts.
Street Smarts didn't skimp at all on this assembly. The ball joints are the largest and strongest ever assembled in a steering linkage for a Wrangler. Made of cold-headed medium carbon alloy steel, the greasable 30mm ball joints feature steel bearings for outstanding ball joint wear resistance. The drag link rod ends are forged out of medium carbon hardened steel and then heat-treated for even more fatigue strength and resistance to buckling. Large 1-ΒΌ" rolled threads at the ends of the tie rod adjuster and the draglink provide much more strength than OE threads. Finally, an epoxy coating ensures a top layer of hard and tough resistance to impact and corrosion.

      Smart Design Features.
The Reverse Taper Mount is a patent pending application that will let you easily bolt the unit without any drilling of the knuckle. And the Reverse Pin ball joint technology, built into the socket for both the rod ends and the drag link, keeps the linkage from flopping around or rocking while traveling those ridiculously rugged off-road trails.

      Application.
The YETI Top-Mount Extreme Duty No-Drill Draglink from Steer Smarts is designed for all 2007-2018 left hand drive JK Wrangler models. Note that a minimum of 16" diameter wheels with a maximum 4.5" backspacing must be used with this draglink.

        5 2013 Wrangler - Richard

        Yeti extreme duty draglink

First the draglink is well made and much heavier construction than stock. Installation was simple. Just keep an eye on the relation to the track bar angle to avoid any bump steer. The more parallel the angle is to each other the better the steering geometry is.

        5 2007 Wrangler - Miner49er

Wow, this thing is sturdy and a great choice!

Alright, so I have a 2007 JK 4-door with 215K original miles on it. I'm very pleased with how tough it's been. However, with all those miles on it the stock lower drag arm has worn out and I feel every small divot in the road right through the steering wheel and the jeep also shudders a lot. I had my setup inspected and after the worn out drag arm was identified, I wanted to get a really good one as a replacement. I researched these a bit and found that the Steer Smarts "Yeti" sure looked good AND you could get it with the stock knuckles not having to be reamed out and new bushing installed to make it work. Well, I sure picked a great replacement and installation was fast and easy. The result? The ride and steering greatly improved! So much better and tight. However, I did end up with a very slight bump steer issue because I went from a low-steering set up on a 3 inch lift to a high-steer set up. So, I would recommend if you go with the high-steer like I did, install a compensating front track bar bracket that brings the high-steer kit back in line with the track bar. There is a Synergy model and a Steer Smarts "Yeti" model. I went with the Synergy as it was in stock and immediately available. After the track bar bracket was installed, I would almost swear the jeep drove so smoothly and tight that it was like driving a brand new JK. Steering had no play, no sway on corners or bumps and ZERO bump steer. This was a great upgrade combined with the track bar bracket! I suggest you spend a little more and get the best replacement parts after you've worn out the stock iron! Go for it. You will not be sorry! Thanks Extreme Terrain! G. Fox

        4 2009 Rubicon - Jking

        They aren't lying

When they say the biggest ball joints available, this thing is a monster! Install wasn't bad but it takes some knowledge I didn't initially have about proper adjustment. In the end, well worth it!
