      Works great

Works great. Paint holds up. Puts my mind at rest when going over obstacles. It sits a little too close to the oil pan. I was able to install it within a couple of hours. Some of the bolts are hard to tighten.

      Smittybilt Skid

Not a bad piece of armour. Really beefy and I think its worth the cash. But the fitment isn't the best cause it touches my oil pan. It can be avoided with some washers. Smittybilt recommends the lift cause the driver side arm and the back of the axle do come close to the plate at stock height.

      Issues at full flex

When the sway bars were disconnected, I had issues with the skid plate coming into contact with the dana44 and the front driveshaft. This was very disconcerting when dropping down a step off camber line and that metallic clunks and pops were happening.

      Excellent Skid Plate

The XRC Engine and Transmission skid plate is great. It is very heavy gauge steel and well-constructed. The pictures in the installation instructions could have been better, but I have installed similar skid plates before, so I had no trouble. The skid plate powder coating was well done and even, and no edges were exposed. Everything necessary for the installation was included. The hardware included could have been a bit better quality, and it would have been nice to have better protection for the bolt heads. They also could have done a better job positioning the oil change panel - where it is, a 3.8l engine is going to spil oil onto the skid plate rather than through the hole when changing the oil. I would recommend getting a oil drain valve so you can avoid making a mess. Last weekend, this skid plate hit several stumps and rocks. I was surprised to find that I did not even have to touch up the powder-coating (I did on my XRC evap canister skid though). Nothing bent and the hardware did not even come loose. Nice job Smittybilt!

      Best Buy!

Best bang for your buck. Works just fine rather than paying more for the other brands.
